As a beginner, I wasn’t sure if I really needed a lens hood for my Canon R8, but I’m so glad I got this one! It fits perfectly, is easy to attach, and really helps reduce glare and lens flare. Simple, effective, and a great addition to my camera gear!Here are a few pictures I took with it attached.

Gets the job done at the fraction of the cost of the official lens hood. Will definitely get one from this manufacturer again

It does fit the Canon RF-S28mm f2.8 lens, as advertised, however, unlike all other lens hood's it does not lock into place, instead it spins freely around the outside of the lens. Why they chose that design when all their other lens hoods lock firmly into place, I am unsure. Useable for now, but, I might find go with a screw on design later.

I've purchased quite a few JJC lens hoods for my 'arsenal' of Canon RF lenses. I don't think the light and glare can tell the difference between the JJC model and the Canon model lens hood but I can in the price. The JJC hoods always fit properly and function smoothly. I realize there are those that say "It doesn't say CANON so it's no good". I don't sit and read brand names, I shoot photos and have fun. Thanks JJC

Bought this as a secondary protection for the nifty fifty. Works as expected and for a fraction of the cost. Installation was super simple.
