Klaus: How Santa Claus Began

A new Christmas tradition
Morrison and Mora create what might be the best Christmas fable of the modern era. This belongs in annual rotation along with The Grinch and Nightmare Before Christmas.

You May Need to Return It
Art looks great, but the book was smashed up. This was a replacement order, and it got worse. No packing inside an oversized box. I don’t understand why the pillow I ordered was packed with bubbles wrap, while a book were just left tumbling…

Book came dented in two corners but not bad damage, I'll deal with it.
The book has a very tight binding so break your book in properly and ingnore all the cracking noises, just break it a few times and it's still hard to lay flat open. The book is a good book though and probably if it matters will be worth some money one day since their putting these out once a year for xmas. So jump on it now while it's reasonably priced. I haven't read mine but I've learned the story through you tube and it sounds fun. I just bought book two for sixteen bucks off instocktrades.com half the price of last years. So buy them when they come out. Thx and happy reading.

Well Written and Beautifully Illustrated
Graphic novelist Grant Morrison teams up with illustrator Dan Mora to provide a fantastical adaptation of the Santa Claus tale, with a Norse mythology twist. Lost love, a maniacal narcissist, supernatural creativity, Krampus, humor... it's all here in one of the most beautifully illustrated stories I've ever read. This is not a Christmas story for little ones, but it's a fun story for middle school kids and beyond.

Dan Mora is great on art
You have Grant Morrison telling the origin of Santa Claus. There's really no need to provide more for a review, but I will.Dan Mora is great on art, He's got scenery that I would love to frame and the bodywork delivers whether it's scenes with action or dialogue. Sometimes the quality of faces suffer, but 1 instance in a 1000 is nothing to worry over.I have the entire series in individual issues, but knew I would love it collected to read easier and more often.I was disappointed to see that the Special issue published at about the same time as the hardcover was not provided. The book itself is presented in a larger page size than the original comic, and the binding seems great so far. There isn't much in the way of bonus features.

Great story, but cheap binding glue
Great story with fantastic art, but the quality of the publisher is heavily lacking.

The best Christmas tale.
Incredible art and story telling make this the most epic of Christmas tales. An absolute classic and worth a read even out of the festive season!

Great story, beautifully illustrated. I have now become quite a fan of graphic novels and also, I believe, Grant Morrison and Dan Mora.
