Good controller for the price!
*I purchased this controller in 2017, as of 2020 is still connects and works flawlessly. I've since moved on to a wired Xbox soft grip controller for PC use however I still keep this one around as a backup. I'd say it was definitely worth it. :)----------------------------------------Original Review:*Note: this review is based on initial first day of useIf anything changes over the next few weeks I'll update this; if not, then assume it still is in decent working condition.I generally have a rule to wait a month or so before making a review, but this cheap little controller has impressed me quite a bit in its first day so I decided to make a "first impressions" type review. Also note this is my first use of a PC gamepad/controller so I haven't had much experience with them as of yet. I had decided to try this one out because it was the cheapest I could find that seemed the most like something I could use as a beginner controller since it was like a generic PS controller.- Firstly, Shipping: props to the fastest shipping I've ever had when not even using Prime. I ordered this controller on 6/6 and it was delivered on 6/9 , on a Sunday no less. Maybe not packaged as well as I would have liked as it was pretty much inside a plastic bag inside a bubble packet, but it arrived in one piece so I'll forgive it for now.- Handling: as it appears, it feels like a regular PlayStation controller. Good weight, decent feeling plastic. I'm not too keen on the texture of the axis sticks personally, it just feels kinda odd on my thumbs. The d-pad buttons feel a bit blocky as well and you occasionally have to push them a bit hard at first, but it seems to get a bit easier after using it for a few hours. No complaints about any other buttons.- Controls/Use: the whole reason I'd purchased this controller is that I'd recently purchased quite a few partial/full controller supported Steam games and was curious as to how gameplay would differ upon the use of a controller instead of keyboard/mouse. As when you use a PS1 controller (I'm not certain about the later PS systems as I've really only used the first) you just need to remember that the 'Analog' button actually turns the controller on.There were no instructions whatsoever included but it's rather straightforward on the plug-and-play aspect that they aren't necessary. But after plugging it in and letting it do its thing, it works like a dream. It takes a bit of poking about to find out on each specific game how/if you can change the controls to fit it or which buttons do what, but again that was to be expected. So far I can definitely say it works well on controller-supported Steam games as well as some RPGMaker games.I'm using an old-ish Asus U50F laptop with Windows 7 x64bit for reference. Everything works fine.Works as I hoped it would and no complaints so far. Good started controller for the price~

Great for SBCs, Retroarch, and some Windows games that don't cooperate with Xbox controllers
I purchased this for a specific game -- Final Fantasy X. For whatever reason, the game did not like to cooperate with an Xbox 360 controller and the button mapping went a bit haywire when I tried to set up the 360 controller. This controller worked great. I matched every button to the PS2 layouts. I tested this further on my Odroid N2 with various emulators and operating systems. On the Odroid the setup is pretty much plug and play. On Windows 10 you will need to install a particular driver. I followed the instructions in another review and downloaded the SL-6535-BK_Driver_V1.0.zip suggested. This worked perfectly.Build quality is better than average -- it won't match a PS2 / PS3 controller in weight or solidness, but for the price it is absolutely excellent. The controller is easy to clean and cheap enough that if it does break, I will not be terribly upset. I have not encountered any durability issues or issues like duplicated button presses that I have encountered with other similar priced controllers.I plan to buy more for multiplayer games. This is the one to get if you are doing an affordable retrocade type setup.

Buy this controller, or throw $10 in the Fireplace... both have same end result.
Pros:Was only $10Shipped pretty-fast for not being "Prime" shippingYou learn an important lesson about how you should not waste your moneyCons:Due to first two Pros listed above, it does not take long to realize you wasted $10Amazon seller does NOT take returns, confirming the third Pro listed aboveMy son is getting to the age where he's becoming a serious PC Gamer, and wanted to play a few games on his PC that don't play well with a keyboard/mouse combo... fighting games like Street Fighter and Dragonball Xenoverse 2... so I thought i'd get him a "plug and play" PC Controller. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the reviews, but ya... this controller really upset my son... plugged it in, spent hours trying to get it to function properly... the left joystick would work, the right one would not... both would work, but would make the screen go bonkers... games would randomly reboot to menu when this controller was plugged in... we tried with and without the analog button on/off... we tried downloading drivers others have mentioned... we tried changing options in Steam... nothing would get this controller to work right. After several hours of trying everything to get this controller to work nice with out PC and Steam games, we finally gave up and admitted defeat... sometimes you just have to know when you are beaten... and if this controller ever wins a fight, it will be against you using it to control a game. We tried to return it, but the Amazon seller doesn't take returns... $10 down the drain. We ended up buying the "ZD-V+ USB Wired Gaming Controller" as attempt #2... should have made it attempt #1, as the ZD-V controller worked right out of the box... plugged it in, no drivers, all his Steam games worked as they should and now he's happy. Lesson learned... plz don't waste your money on this useless product.
