I have always wanted one of these since my mom loaned us hers when my sister and I were young, and she said she had received one before she left for college. Now that I'm 19, and attending college this fall, I wanted one for myself, but couldn't figure out the technical term for it - now I know they're called collegiate footlockers! But anyways, I was more than happy with the service of seller123! First and foremost, it's a great price compared to others who sell the exact same thing, it's the perfect size and is very durable and sturdy, and above all, came through with delivery earlier than predicted! I ordered to use as a dress up trunk for my girls. I'm ordering 2, though haven't placed the second order yet. I'll update if 2nd is different, but I love it. I'm picky about gifts for my kids because I want things to be just right. I needed sturdy because my girls are 6 and 4. This trunk will definitely hold up to them I think (we'll see though lol). I also wanted something with character. Something that, like the content it will hold, will make them WANT to play. Something that matches their personalities and that they could grow with. The pink of the trunk (brighter than in the picture cause of my camera) is beautiful for my youngest. Fun even. I was a little worried about the inside before I bought, but nothing seems to stick out as I worried. You can see where nails are but nothing breaks through. So clothes, wigs, and kids will be good. The only thing that I don't like (more personal than a real problem) is the center button lock. It's a good one, but the button is hard for me to push. So I know for sure it will be with them. So if for younger kids you'll need to not close that part. But if it's to keep out younger kids it'll be perfect. Plus side of the lock though it came with 3 keys.

I considered the comments about it being unsturdy and lacking enough useful handles carefully, and decided that I didn't need it to do much more than function like a cardboard box so it should be fine. It has been just the right tool for the job. Our daughter loves dressing up in costumes, but they are always buried in her closet and mixed up with everything else that gets stuffed in there, no many how often I organize things. I bought this so I could set them out in her room. She gets to them easily now. I leave it flipped open so the costumes can spill over into the lid. This lets her see more and lets it holds more. They don't get mixed up with other closet stuff, other than the occasional stuffed animal, and she and her friends are playing with the costumes much more. For us it was the perfect tool for the job, and because it's a trunk, a staple of fiction, you kind of have the feeling that a magical adventure must be in store.

The trunk was the size and look I wanted it to be. Seems to be fairly sturdy, however, I was very disappointed with the inside quality. The screws were pushing up against the particle board in every single instance, making the inside look cheap and of poor quality. So bad, in fact, that I ended up lining the inside of the trunk with papers to make it more appealing visually. The locking mechanism and 'keys' provided are cheap and bend and I will never use them. We purchased a regular lock to go through the latch and that works well. The handle is plastic and is in danger of breaking if carried with a load. The hinges are weak and we feel the top could break right off quite easily. Our plan it so place it close to a wall so that when it opens up it will be supported. I don't think this will be a long lasting purchase, however, it serves the need we have for it now, which does not involve lifting and carrying by the handle. I was pleased with the outside appearance, but quality and inside appeal is not to a high standard.

I bought this trunk a few months ago. What you see is what you get. The quality is great, very sturdy and nice looking. Very spacious and durable. I recommend this product.
