Tip: Trust the Color Name!
Oh boy! If you’re not aiming for a specific color and just want to play hair Roulette, then go for it! If you’re on a quest for a red so vibrant that your conservative family would faint on Easter Sunday, or if you had an emo phase where you shopped at Hot Topic like it was your second home, then this fiery red dye is your soulmate! I thought they were exaggerating the name, but turned out they named it accurately.Alright, let me spill the tea on my adventure. I’m a working professional, about to hit the big 4-0, so I’ve left my emo “F U” stage behind. I have a serious event lined up, so I was in the market for a more muted tone. I watched the hair strip video and saw the samples of what this dye was supposed to look like if your starting color was on the left of the photo. Photo 1. Spoiler alert: my hair wasn’t super white or blonde. It was light, but not that light. Photo 2. I followed the instructions to a T. When I washed it out, the water turned into a vibrant pink (it also dyed my tub). I thought, “Sure, it’s just the initial shock, the darker tones will show through soon.” Wrong. I shampooed four times, and it was still bleeding pink like a horror movie scene. My hair did get a bit lighter each time, but not enough. Exhausted and with work the next morning, I decided to give up and rock a hat into the office. Photo 3. This was Wednesday. By Saturday, I was back at it, opting for a darker brown shade to cover the pink explosion. Now, I’m liking it more. This is doable. I’ll wait and see what happens as it fades out. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up with a new hair color I love! I think the cap w some water reflects the truest color that it turns to. Photo 4.

Versatile and works well
I used Purple Rage and Mystic Gray on my friends hair. I used bleach to add highlights first using Clairol powder bleach and 20 vol developer. I mixed the Purple Rage with Arctic Fox’s Poseidon to make a blue-based violet to prevent the purple from fading to pink, as Purple Rage appeared to be a red-based violet when I squirted it out of the tube. The result was lovely. I used Mystic gray to add some gray highlights. She already has some natural gray highlights, but she wanted more. It added a nice touch of dimension. The gray seemed to stick well, which I was surprised by because light colors like that often wash out right away or don’t show up well. We were both really happy with the end result.

150 Platinum was the best Smokey Grey dye I've tried!
I wear a smokey gray/silver (salt & pepper) hair system. What is left of my natural hair is almost white, except the back, which is dark gray/black. I chose the system because it is easier to darken light hair than it is to lighten the dark. I tried several different permanent grays (L'Oriel), which required bleaching, and they looked good for one week, then the hair would turn light brown and not match the hair system at all. I FINALLY tried 150 Adore Platinum and this 68yr old could not be happier! It matched beautifully, and after one shampoo... it stayed gray! And if it needs to be redone... no more bleaching... I just reapply (although I do leave it on for 2hrs as recommended by a you tube video I watched. 56K mostly positive reviews says it all!

Favorite dye
I’ve been using this dye for a decade, it’s the only brand I find easy to switch between colours, I enjoy the fading (with the exception of the lighter purple colours) fade evenly, the colour is super customizable & dilutes well into creme conditioners for more diluted results. Some things to note:-It’s a demi-permanent dye so it does not lift well with bleach (Ive tried it spits out strange neons)Colour removersDish soap/citric acidBaking soda/cheap shampooWill remove the dye once it’s faded out with about 10 showers with hot water depending how intense of a shade-The red STICKS, usually blue is the worst offender the red has taken me up to 8 DIY removing treatments to get out completely-FILL BEFORE darker colours if you have lighter hair & want to go to a deep red, fill your hair with a lighter brown or mix into the red, same with blacks/dark browns/etc-do not apply to freshly lifted hair; clarify, make sure all the chemical is off your hair or it will not cling I’ve bleached my roots tried the apply & it only stuck to my mid/ends-as mentioned above the lighter purples spit out different colours as they fade (I imagine due it being a secondary colour & the pigments are starting to separate) so unless you don’t mind the appearance of “oil slick”, will upkeep the colour or possibly prefill with pink or blue it’s a no for me. All the rest fade very consistently from my experience

Superior gray and silver coverage 👍😎✨
I have silver hair, and my usual hair dye wasn't providing sufficient coverage; I've always dyed it pink, but my siilver hair was making it appear purplish pink. My hair stylist recommended trying a burgundy color. My usual brand doesn't offer burgundy, so I searched for a good burgundy dye and found this one. Upon arrival, the color was lovely. It's thinner than I'm accustomed to, so I did get some dye on my sink and counter, so I suggest covering your sink with an old towel you don't mind staining. For processing, I used a plastic bag on my head and left it on for 45 minutes because gray and silver hair is difficult to cover due to the smoother hair shaft, which makes dye penetration more challenging. This didn't stop me from giving it 5 stars because I was incredibly pleased with the color! It completely covered all my silver hair! I'm absolutely delighted with this burgundy color! It hasn't faded yet, and I've washed it several already! This is the only hair dye brand I will ever use! I cannot express how happy I am with the color! I highly recommend this dye, especially if you have gray or silver hair.
