I wanted this type long time ago, but when I saw these one that are made out of silicone I had to try it and Im happy. They works good so far. However they are very strong to close it so can be uncomfortable at first to get use to the force you need to use to close them every time. If you have some king of problem with the carpal tunnel syndrome I dont recommend this. My pans are happy to have silicon to protect them of any scratches.

These tongs are great. I find them to be the perfect thing to use to get all the goodies from some food packaging such as liquid cheese or gravy you have heated up. Grip the package a corner clamp the tongs below your grip and slide it down the package to remove product fast and easy. I use them to pick up an place food cooking as well. The silicone coating seems very durable and and have been using for months now and no issues at all.

These are thinner than most and easy to hold but the grip strength isn’t great

I heard someone mention them and thought I would give them a try . They are good quality for the price. I like that they are silicone so I can use them with my non stick pans. I use them when I am making chicken cutlets. They are easy to use and easy to clean. They are also very comfortable. I feel like a fancy chef when I use them. LOL

Sub-optimally designed and hard to realize that until you have one in use, but this seems to apply to every alternative from any supplier. The construction is presumably a piece of flat steel that has been bent at the "hinge", and then coated in silicone. Flat, thin steel from one tip to the other. What this means is there is a limit to the amount of force the tool allows you to exert on what you're gripping. When you squeeze, the tips will grab onto whatever you're grabbing, and then the entire tweezer/tong body starts to bend. ~75% of your additional force past this point goes into bending your tool, and then eventually the two arms touch each other and you can exert no more force on the object without gripping further towards the tip of the tong. This is more pronounced on smaller items - ex: your finger, it is very hard to exert enough force to cause yourself discomfort unless you grip the tongs all the way at the tip, because the arms touch each other very quickly. However, larger items create more distance for the arms to bend until they touch. The tool would have been vastly improved by having a spine on the arms, starting from the tip and ending ~70% up each arm, making them inflexible while allowing the "hinge" to still move. They're fine, I'm somewhat softening my review due to the fact that nothing on the market seems to be constructed any better (at a glance they're all flat, skinny pieces of steel). I guess I will find value in them but I'm somewhat disappointed and wish there was a better product out there for me to purchase.

We use these ALL the time. Perfect for the toaster and skillet. My kids can use them too. Really happy with this purchase.

I use them all the time for cooking. Definitely a must have if you like to fried chicken they’re sturdy they clean easily and they don’t take up too much space.
