I've ordered several of these from various sellers on Amazon claiming to be male GHT (garden hose thread, 11.5 threads/inch) but turn out to be 14 threads/inch, which is a fire hose thread here in the USA, and will leak unless you crank on your garden hose fitting with pliers and damage it's threads in the process. The outside is 1” NPS thread and the inside is 3/4” NPS. Nation pipe thread NPT is tapered. National pipe straight NPS does not have a taper. They do have the same thread angle, shape, and pitch. You will have to use thread tape or a sealing compound to get a good seal on the threads.

I was able to use my 3/4" valve with 3/4" male tapered pipe threads by wrapping several layers of teflon tape over the threads and stretching an o ring style hose washer over the male thread as a gasket between the valve body and the bulk head fitting.
