The building blocks are big enough. We have upgraded the product. The edges of the building blocks are 1.8 inches long. This wooden toy is suitable for children aged 1-4.

Q: How to use this product?

It is a puzzle, for toddler/preschool children to learn about shapes and color. It is a very good quality wood puzzle.

Q: Does the wooden board have colors inside the cut outs to assist with matching?

No, it doesn't but I'm doing this with a 2 year old great grandson. The lack of inside colors seems to have no disadvantage.

Great puzzle for toddlers

My grands have had it for a year now and still enjoy. They know how to put the pieces in quickly. The puzzel is sturdy. They are learning the shapes and colors so it is still very useful

I got this for my visiting 15 month old niece, pieces fit together well and easy for little hands learning shapes and colors.

A good addition to your toddler's learning library

My two-year-old granddaughter lives this puzzle. Although she mastered it quickly, she still pulls it out when visiting. It has reinforced her learning of shapes and colors. A good addition to your toddler's learning tools.

Very good toy, could be great.

Very good toy. Good size pieces for toddler to grasp. Pieces are smooth and painted. Don't have am issue with paint coming off.What would make it great:1. Puzzle board is rough and not coated. Needs a sanding and a clear coat.2. The notches on the board where the pieces fit are not painted. If they were painted/outlined to correspond to the puzzle pice it would be helpful.
