This lid fills a gap where the lid that came with the Pipamoka failed, allowing you to keep your drink hot longer and be able to sip without taking the lid off. You can even brew with this lid, as it has the same fit as the original lid that came with the Pipamoka.The only complaint I have with this is that you can't carry it in the protective case due to the flared-out edge of the lid. I travel a lot and was looking forward to carrying less, not more. What's worse, is that this is even sold by Wacaco, acknowledging that this is a perfect replacement for the original lid. I really wish they would have thought about the design and allow it to fit in the protective case, as it really isn't a replacement for the original. This is one of those instances where I should have paid more attention to the reviews before purchasing.

The pipamoka needs this right from the get go. Can do the pressure brew with this lid. Absolutely the best set up.

The lid keeps coffee hot, doesn't drip, and is easy to clean.
