There is a card. On the card are 2 Straps. So you have 2 Straps to use. They are the same. There is a Adjustable fastener. There is a loop on each end. You loop it around one side and then other strap. Then you fasten the strap. The 2 straps are 5 oz. If you only want to use 1 straps, the weight is 2.5 oz.

Q: Can you hook these together to make 1 long strap?

There are not hooks.... you have loops and you can put them together. Its tuff stuff.
