Perfect for my needs + plastic wrap solution!
I needed a feeder to block the greedy larger birds like doves and pigeons. We don't have squirrels here in southern Arizona, so that wasn't an issue for me. This feeder does the job perfectly. The small birds are feasting away, while the larger birds are blocked every time. I almost didn't buy this feeder because of the negative reviews. However, it looked so perfect for my needs that I decided to give it a try anyway. When it arrived, the tube was covered in the same wrinkled layer of horrible cling wrap that others have described. I started to try to remove it through the cage, but could immediately tell that it was going to be a huge struggle. However, I noticed that the four plastic pieces with the perches and feed holes were held in place with a single screw per pair. I removed those two screws, pulled out the perches, opened the lid, and was able to slide the plastic tube right out the top. At that point it only took a couple of minutes to remove the plastic wrap, slide the tube back in, and reattach the feeding perches. I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews scare me away!

Squirrels loved it!
At first, there was something wrong. The top didn't fit exactly over the center cone. Nobody's going to bother that, I thought. Tried to use it. That lasted three days. The squirrels got the top off, chewed the center cone where the bird seed was. Then the hungry little buggers chewed two of the individual feed ports. It is only plastic on the inner part. They probably got some bird seed, too, for their troubles.Alas, this was a nice idea but the feeder was poorly designed and constructed. Sorry - no joy here.

Protective plastic on tube very difficult to remove
We’re actually pleased with the feeder - my only issue is that the clear plastic tube in the center is covered with a very thin plastic coating that is shredding where the birds peck at it and I can’t peel it all off. I with I could pull the tube out and remove the loose plastic sheeting - I worry that it will hurt the birds.

Good design but cheaply made
The design does deter the squirrels so it works for me. It is cheaply made though and the solder to the lip came completely undone. I was able to rig it to work.

Very durable
This was a gift for my aunt. She was very pleased to see it had 4 very sturdy prongs. It is sturdy enough and built to keep out the squirrels. The best bird feeder found. We have so many storms here; yet sturdy as ever.

Not squirrel proof
The product was torn to bits around the feeding hole from squirrels and i can use it because the seeds spill out…and the birds are confused on how to reach the feeder holes

Got rid of the Blackbirds
This is a nice product. It is designed well and got rid of the Blackbirds, unfortunately it is too small spaced for Robins too. The small birds love it and it has cut my seed use by 2/3.

Absolutely WORTHLESS!!
I really wanted to like this feeder. It's cute as can be, BUT... it came damaged. The lid was bent badly enough that even after trying to bend it into shape, it is still warped off the top, so it won't be rain proof by any stretch, and I have my doubts about rain resistance. It also has clear tape, or some kind of plastic wrap around the outside of the seed holder and I don't see any way of getting it off. Maybe you aren't supposed to? Maybe that's supposed to add strength? Kinda ugly. On top of that , the handle wasn't attached at one side and when I tried to hook it back on, the hook broke off!!!! I would return it, but without thinking, I already trashed the box it came in. Guess I'm stuck with it. :-(UPDATE: Absolutely WORTHLESS!!! Take a look at the pictures. A squirrel did that in LESS THAN a WEEK!!!! Squirrel proof my foot!!!
