Very interesting for GoT fans
The book is quite readable and interesting for GoT fans, with a lot of interviews of producers, directors and actors and a lot of interesting behind-the-scenes facts.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought this book in hardbook, new and at hugely reduced price (less than £3!) and so was thinking that it must not be all that good. But if you enjoyed the HBO series GoT, and particularly if you enjoy watching the DVD extra features involving details of the series production and interviews with the cast and crew, it would be hard to recommend this book highly enough - I tore through it, and had finished it within a couple of days. Particularly if the price is similarly reduced and you are thinking of getting, just do!

Lots of info and photos.
Packed with lots of information and photos, very well-written. A must-have for any GoT fans, or an excellent gift for someone you know that is. Well-made hardbound book, not too big for a shelf, but still good size for a table top interest.

Answers a whole lot of questions
It's wonderful. A first hand look at what GoT was from beginning to end.Written by a pro journalist who had total access to pretty much everything. And he didn't drop the ball. The author was in the place we all wanted to be, inside Game of Thrones. The striking thing related in this book is how much everyone involved with it's production loved and respected what they were doing. Show runners, producers, directors, actors, staff, all involved ended up realizing this was probably the most important 'thing' they would ever be involved with.I loved GoT from the beginning of when I started watching it, which I admit was around season 4. I had a lot of catching up to do and I loved every minute of it.I questioned a lot of what went on in seasons 7 and 8. It's really good to hear what the people who made it have to say, and I have to agree with most of their decisions. If you love GoT but have reservations about any of it, read this book. It will at least put things into perspective. When I closed the back cover I knew I had a lot better understanding of the why and how the whole thing came to be, especially the last seasons. If you love GoT you need this book. If you loved GoT up until the last two seasons, you need this book even more.Don't give up on something you love before you understand everything that went into it.It's a great book and if you care about GoT at all you will love hearing LOTs from the principal actors about their roles./)_
