I have a Ring Video Doorbell 2 than has a strong southern sun exposure at my back door. This works wonderfully as a sunshade, keeping it from overheating in the summer and clear of snow in the winter. I did have to drill a hole in the back to run the wires through, but that was easy. I also painted it to match my house trim and used silicone caulking between it and the siding. It's design does not impede the doorbell function or camera view. One note however; I would recommend only painting the outside. If you paint the inside of this hood a light color, it can be overly reflective when the doorbell goes into night vision mode with the IR diodes.

I have ordered 2 for electronic gates keypads. They are very good quality. I just ordered 2 more.
