A Darker Adventure for the Five
The Famous Five's third adventure sees the gang return to Kirrin Island in a ploy to escape the tyranny of the Stick family, who are watching the children while Aunt Fanny is ill in hospital. But with the threat of smugglers, this outing is quite dark for Blyton - and I Loved it! Kidnapping and screams in the night don't deter them however, and trickery, rebellion, and camaraderie all take centre stage. An exciting, thrilling adventure!

Another great Enid Blyton book
Excellent book. I use it as a bedtime story book for my 8 year old daughter. The story is engaging and captivating and am always looking forward to the next chapter. I like how the children in the book portray strong as well as moral characteristics. They are excellent role models for behaviour and character

great bedtime reading
We started reading famous five books to our 5 and 8 year old boys. It turns out that the books have lost none of their appeal with age and the kids absolutely love them They listen and imagine just as kids have done for decades. Major tip is don't buy a second one. If the kids like the first one , get a box set of them all as that is much better value.
