Had so much fun building this kit. The gramophone is intricately detailed and actually works. Love it

This is my 3rd Gramophone, because they were on offer good price and I wanted something to do in spare time. The 1st did not work, so I thought, until I got the 2nd Gramophone. This had an addition to it. As well as crank handle it had a pcb which you can connect a small power pack to and it play by electric, a switch on the pcb changes from crank to electric. This, I found, was not turning the crank fast enough. Went back to the 1st Gramophone and it worked. Found you have to hold the Gramophone firmly when cranking. I have now looked in to getting 2 addon pcb to put on the Gramophones to play them by electric, they are easy to fit to the bottom off the Gramophone few screw to hold the pcb to the bottom of the Gramophone take the motor plug out of the sound box plug in the pcb another wire will plug in to the pcb and in to the sound box. I have just put the order in to the Robotime site $5I would advise to check you have used all the part before closing anything in take your time rokr instruction give part numbers at every stage. found pleasing

The media could not be loaded. My daughter had trouble with this one but company so good with sending out spare bits if any break and my daughter happy with it because it works

Really enjoyed building this one. Got it on a deal at £36 and that is a bargain compared to other models out there. I recently built the pinball machine by rokr but found this harder to build. Record doesn't sound brilliant when played but it will make you smile. Don't think I would risk any cherished vinyl on it.

I've purchased and assembled quite a few of these Rokr kits now and this, I think, has been the most challenging.Build time was about 10 hours which was based over a couple of hours one evening and the whole of the following day.Now… if you are expecting high quality Dolby sound then prepare to be disappointed. They supply you with a 7” single which strangely runs at 33rpm and on Googling the 3 tracks, I found they do actually exist. What you will hear when playing them for the first time sound more like Pinky and Perky, and that's after you've spent a great deal of time calibrating it.I found it works best when a power supply is plugged into the USB port of the PCB box. It won't make the turntable rotate automatically but it does mean you have to turn the crank handle with less effort.This is an opportunity missed for Rokr. If they bought out a version of this with an electric or battery driven motor I would buy it again.It will just be a nice shelf decoration to go alongside the other Rokr models I have built and it does look stunning when complete.The hardest, and most intricate part of the assembly was the speaker cone. It is made from very thin kerf cut ply and is very fragile.I managed to break one section of the cone as I was assembling it, and although there is a replacement part in the box, to remove and replace would have meant dismantling many already assembled parts, so I just got out the trusty tube of Superglue. I don't think anyone has noticed.At the list price of £89.99 I would have just scrolled on by but there was an Amazon voucher for £40 off which swayed me and at under £50 it's a great purchase. If you’re a Prime Member I would recommend seeing if there are any voucher discounts available before you buy.Trust your instincts. I would say this is worth a punt. It won't replicate your valued vinyl collection but it will be a laughing point when you demonstrate it to your friends.

Amazing product, absolutely loved building it and finished it looks fantastic. A word of advice though it didn't work at first as my instructions regarding the wires that connect to the needle were the wrong way round. It was fun just working out what the issue was and once I'd swapped the red and white wires it worked perfectly! Highly recommend.

Pieces broke easy so did my best to repair the bits part from that its really is lovely when finished

Ich hab vor paar Jahren die Kamera von Robotime gekauft, aufgebaut und meiner Mutter geschenkt. Das war schon sehr toll, das die wirklich funktioniert hat mit einer kleinen beigelegten Filmrolle.Nun hab ich das Gramofon hier gesehen, zum halben Preis, zugeschlagen und war definitiv das Geld Wert. Sehr umfangreich und mit dem Aufbau vergehen auch schnell nen paar Stunden mit der Lieblingsserie im Hintergrund.Es sind auch nen handvoll frimelige Teile dabei, die schnell mal kaputt gehen. Hab eins beschädigt und dann glatt noch das Ersatzteil dazu. (Zu meiner Verteidung es war 4 Uhr morgens 😅)Ich musste zuerste ein bisschen testen mit dem Greifarm, nach hinten schieben, die Aluröhre bisschen drehen, dass die Nadel nur leicht auf der Platte anliegt. Aber dann kam auch ne richtig gute Tonqualität beim abspielen raus.

VRAIMENT MANIFIQUEMarche très bien avec des vieux 78 tours et des 45 tours a condition de faire quelques petites modifications.Facile a monter mais regarder les vidéos avant et faire attention en retirant les pièces fines.Il y a même des pièces en rabs pour les plus petites ou fragiles.Au niveau sonore il faut renforcer le cornet en le collant et l' alourdir avec n'importe quoi sur l' extérieur pour éliminer les vibrations qui donnent un son aigu et nasillard.Munissez vous d' une petite batterie auxiliaire de smartphone de faible ampérage que vous brancher avec un long câble USB A vers Micro USB pour avoir moins d'effort a tourner la manivelle tout en gardant le volume au plus haut sinon ca fait du larsen.

Me encantó poder montarlo, es precioso el trabajo final, cierto es que no lleva motor, que el manejo debe ser siempre con la manivela, lo que le da cierto toque bonito, pero si que sería interesante tener una opción para colocarle un motor y que podamos reproducir vinilos sin tener que usar la manivela. Lleva una pequeña dinamo para alimentar el amplificador de audio, que puede conectarse a un adaptador USB 5V para alimentarlo externamente.

Pezzo particolare, ti occupa parecchio tempo, legno di qualità, progetto affascinante, risultato gradevole.Ne vale la pena !!
