you'll be happy to know
A tale of a cat and a doll who meet high up a tree with no recollection of how they arrived there. When they through a party for themselves to while away the time, an unexpected guest proves the key to their escape. Edward Gorey fans please note that, while Gorey *wrote* the story, he did not *illustrate* the story. Victoria Chess's illustrations, you'll be happy to know, are apt in their own right.

Delightful as ever
I am happy to be re-united with this book. I originally bought it years ago because Gorey was the co-author, but now I see that Chess's illustrations are quite wonderful. I am disappointed that the follow-up book, "Fletcher and Zenobia Save the Circus," is only available used. This edition is new and the drawings are lovely and crisp.

I was so delighted to discover this book has been reprinted
I was so delighted to discover this book has been reprinted. It was our daughter's favorite book as a child and, now is becoming so for her daughter, age 5. Really any age can enjoy its charm and delightful pictures and text.

Fletcher and Zenobia
Read this charming and delightful story about a doll and a cat and a moth who find themselves together in a tree to my oldest daughter when she was a little girl. It's illustrated by Edward Gorey. Found a good used copy at Amazon (its out of print) and bought for her 41st birthday. Vida es breve.

Lovely odd children’s book about a cat up a tree
So glad to find this little gem as it’s referenced in the ‘Toys go out’ trilogy which my daughter is a huge fan of. A very sweet and wacky story perfect for bedtime for 4/5 year olds.
