RA Bock Fine Leather Doctor Bag - Medium - Black

This quality of leather, hardware and contruction is rarely found below $300 so this doctor's bag is priced very reasonably.Negatives: I would have preferred to go without the external back pocket that you can barely notice on the top-down photo. It is not mentioned in the description. This pocket is closed with a Velcro flap and I have a dislike of Velcro. Velcro should not be a feature of quality leather goods. Also the polyester lining complete with pen-holders and a zippered inner pouch is loose and baggy and will surely not live as long as the leather bag itself. I would have preferred to see the suede side of the leather and have no internal features. If this leather bag holds up nicely, I may eventually have my lining removed.Positives: Made with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Nice high-end hardware, a great clasp mechanism and a comfortable handle. Good metal feet which help prevent the pickup of bacteria from floors when you set it down. There is no doubt it is a traditional Doctor bag and the medium size is big enough for a day bag. My 10.5" Macbook Air has plenty of room to stand in there edge-up.I am not a doctor but now I look like one.

I bought this bag as a graduation gift for my nephew. I was a little hesitant because I had never purchased a medical bag before so I had no point of reference. I read the reviews and considered the size I wanted. When I received the bag and took it out to inspect it I was just thrilled. This is a solid bag. The leather is just beautiful. The construction is rock solid. It is a great size and excellent quality. This is a bag that will last a life time, will age beautifully, and will carry the weight and dignity befitting a doctor. I am just thrilled with it. If you are buying this as a gift you can purchase it without worry. It's exactly the Norman Rockwell type bag I wanted. It will give my Nephew the gravitas I was looking for. Very well done!

This bag is classy, beautiful, and is wearing wonderfully after three years of use. The ultimate professional bag, far more refined than the ubiquitous vinyl bags students usually gravitate towards. Highly recommend!

Boxed well with cloth cover, nice hardware buckle with key and lined interior likely to wipe cleanly. Leather is outstanding and thick. Bag does stay open but requires a bit much effort. Also the velcro front pouch is a bit small and accomodates a limited amount of papers (rx pad and pen). The latter are minor issues but require me to subtract one star. Overall excellent.

Treated myself to this bag, even though I'm still just a med student, because I feel like it will last a good long while! What it may lack in pockets and size it more than makes up for in sleek and stylish design. Plus I know there was a size up; I opted for the medium because I'm a short person and if anything, I should try to be more streamlined in what I carry! Plus, what are lab coats for, if not stuffing pocketfuls of tongue depressors and the like?

I was a bit nervous because it was the first time a bought a bag like this online. However, I was pleasantly, surprised. It is well made but the Velcro does take some points away.
