Q: Will this fit a Stanley J309?

Yes it will, however I noticed that the stitching on mine is not of the best.To portion began coming apart. I think I would recommend a different brand .

Q: Is this bag machine washable ? will laundry soap " fade " the white letters ? what would be the proper cleaning care ? thanks !!!

To be honest, I keep it on very dry place and never on the ground. If there a spot with a wet tissue I wipe it clean. I don't think that soft laundry soap will let it fade or will damage it.
