Award winning artwork, exciting player interaction, and unique game play all make Stones of Fate a game not to be missed. Each game uses only a subset of the 78 card deck so no two games are ever the same. The game starts with a face-down spread of 9 cards. Cards are worth a varying number of points and players compete to win them by peeking at cards, placing their stones strategically, and flipping cards. New cards are placed face down into the spread as cards are won, creating an ever-changing landscape. Some cards have special effects which occur during play, adding to the overall strategy and creating additional opportunities to interact with your opponents.

Great, fun, quick and unique game.
Great, easy to learn, fun to play game with a little bit of memory and card management. The art is nice, the mechanics unique and the games go fairly quickly. I suggest sleeving the cards since you will be bending and looking at them often, and since it is a memory game, you don't want them to be marked accidentally.

Nudity detracts from otherwise good game
Reworked memory game with some nice changes. Flavor (artwork) is in keeping with medieval tenor. Learns quick; box closed to playing in 10 minutes. Protect the stones during play, as they tend to travel and get missed during cleanup. Best for 3-4 but works very well with 2. Good, fun, fast game. HOWEVER several cards feature full frontal nudity but add nothing to the play. Artist could easily have not put naked women on the cards and would have had zero effect on gameplay. I removed the pornographic cards and played without and it worked fine. 4 stars for mechanics, 4 stars for replayability, 5 stars for artwork, 5 stars for price, overall 4 stars but I docked a star for the unnecessary nudity.

A nice little filler with ingenious mechanics
Great little filler that can be picked up in a few minutes. The mechanics of placing stones around a card is ingenious and will likely be imitated in the future. Can't miss.

Fun strategy game without a long time committment.
Fun strategy game that doesn't take long to play. My kids enjoy it too.

I hate to say it but this is a boring game ...
I hate to say it but this is a boring game with a high frustration level. It's purely a memory game. If that floats your boat, you're all set.
