Works perfectly
For my elderly father who recently bought a new smart TV and wanted to connect his old DVD & VHS player. The new TV only has digital HDMI & USB inputs and his old player has analogue phono, scart and S video outputs. I avoided the cheaper more basic units on offer as I wanted to maximise my chances of converting with the minimum of video and audio loss and without any issues.I'm pleased to report the converter was very easy to set up and worked first time. It's nice and compact, so once connected it can be tucked out the way leaving him to use his old DVD & VHS player as he did before which he enjoys more than all the new content via the smart apps!

Connected to a Panasonic dvd/hone theatre system to output to a Samsung tv.Audio fine but video unstable on all combinations of input s video or composite, all giving flickering results with different dvds.(Also tried different leads etc same result(.

Does the job
Wanted to connect a 30 year old games console (Amiga CD32) to my 65 inch TV via an S Video connection. I was a little sceptical that this would produce an acceptable picture quality. Fortunately, I was wrong and the quality is far better than I was expecting. Very happy, I can play some old favourites in the comfort of my lounge.

Does not work well with the N64
This is absolute rubbish. Megadrive flickers from a blue screen to the gane every so often, and using this for the N64 is okay until you realise that it doesn't cope so well with the contrast and ends up being so bright, it drastically rends the game not playable.Avoid!!!
