"America's Original" founded in 1752: Classy Caswell-Massey!
Caswell-Massey was commenced by a Scottish-born doctor named WIlliam Hunter as an apothecary shop in Newport, Rhode Island. The fragrant soaps are crisp and clean, with a perfumed, yet masculine, flair. My favorite is still the Almond Cold Cream soap, but it was time to venture into new fragrance territory. My order arrived very quickly and beautifully packaged. I am a dentist myself by profession, and I am a clean freak. These soaps do not help, because their shrink-wrapped soaps packaged in that stately blue box only feed my OCD to put me over the top of clean showerdom! Hope whomever reads this has a laugh, but it is to be taken seriously. I was writing this as I was watching 'MIdnight Run' with De Niro, so I am enjoying blending Caswell-Massey with De Niro-Grodin. Luxurious Masculine Soap
I've purchased four or five different higher-end sandalwood-scented soaps for sale on Amazon and this is, by far, my favorite. Triple-milled soaps are luxurious and this soap is no exception. It creates a nice lather (depending on your water hardness). These are large bars and last longer than many soap bars, which helps offset some of the elevated cost. Scent is a personal preference, but I find these to be in the sweet spot where they smell strongly enough to get occasional comments, but not so strong that you are mistaken for wearing perfume. The smell is not overly sweet. In short, it's a perfect masculine scent.I would be remiss if I didn't mention the packaging as well. They come in very sturdy dark blue cardboard boxes, each soap in its own compartment and individually shrink-wrapped. The box are nice enough that I've been saving them, just waiting for sort of secondary use to come to me.
