Advecta Plus Flea Protection for Large Cats, Long-Lasting and Fast-Acting Topical Flea Prevention, 4 Count, Cats Over 9 lbs

As the owner of 5 full grown cats and always rescuing more in need, I found this to be the most effective and least expensive way to protect them from fleas and ticks. It has worked for mine for 2 years now. The best is also it comes in packs of 4 so I can buy 2 packs and cover them all and even the strays. It's easy to apply also. I think it's just as good as advantage!

Works just like it says, plus the active ingredient kills ear mites as well. The price is extremely reasonable. Will continue to purchase for my kitty.

This product works very well for cats. A lot less expensive than the leading brands. I had a flea infestation and this product eliminated allthe fleas completely after 2 doses. I have since kept up giving them a dose every month.

Works great and cheaper than buying from the vet. Occasionally my indoor cats get fleas. I guess they come in on our shoes (common in sandy soil). I usually use it for about 3 months just to make sure all eggs are killed. It works perfectly. You see improvement from day 1.

3 cats and a dog. Fleas came on fast and cats were coated with them and very itchy. One cat was still verry fluffy. One cat had thinned her hair in a quarter inch sized spot on the nape of her neck from scratching with a hind foot. Third cat was terribly itchy and quite a balding mess by the time the treatment arrive in the mail. The cats are indoor cats, dog must have picked up a massively large flea circus outside and brought it home. Dog was treated with a different product for canines.All cats treated the day medication arrived.Dog also treated and the one room (bedroom) in our house with carpet was flea bombed with raid flea bomb for good measure.1 week after treatment cats week happy and no longer itchy.2 weeks after treatment cats hair was growing in nicely. Some irritated scratching started. One cat started her irritated tail wagging, followed by running away, then stopping and itching.3 weeks in fleas visible crawling across the white face of my black and white cat.4 weeks I will be in USING A DIFFERENT PRODUCT

UPDATE: I used this as a preventative instead of Advantage and also when my cat slipped outside and I found a few fleas on him. It worked for that. I think the reason it didn't work initially was bc they had a decent amount of fleas. So I guess I'd recommend this as a preventative but not to treat a moderate infestation.I wanted this to work. I'm all about saving $ and with 4 cats and a dog, buying Advantage would be pretty expensive. I figured if it has the same active ingredients, it has to work. I wouldn't say our flea issue was necessarily a really bad one. We haven't found them in the carpets and we aren't getting bitten but I keep finding them on the pets. I had high hopes for this product so i bought some for all of the cats and dog. I used Capstar tablets and a flea spray to get things under wraps before applying this. Both took care of the immediate issue but i would still find a few on them every day while waiting for this to arrive. I put it on everyone and a few days later I decided to try to use the flea comb to see if it was working. One of my cats had a bunch of fleas, worse than before! I gave her a second dose. 2 days later i saw fleas crawling on her right where I had put the medication! The dog still had a couple too. I gave him a second dose to no avail. It has made zero difference for us. None whatsoever. I never found any dead fleas after using this and I found the same amount of live fleas daily with combing them as I was before we used this. I'm very disappointed and now I can't use any other products for a few more weeks which means I had to give them all a dawn bath. Have you ever bathed a cat? Let me tell you, it's NOT FUN. I practically needed a blood transfusion when that was done. And I'm back to combing all of the pets out with a flea comb every day. I have 4 kids including a newborn. To say, I don't have time for this nonsense is an understatement. I wish I had purchased a different product.

I used this product on my kitten when he was 7 months old. My cat is not bothered by it, no rash. The smell is strong, but it goes away the next day. My cat is now a year old and we use this product monthly. We walk him on a leash. So far no fleas. Will continue to use this product.
