I've had my hands on many bowie knives, and this one, by far, feels the best in my hand. GCrafter makes bowies in Damascus steel; however, I bought this one for the "regular look." Before I go any further, that handle is anything but regular looking. Its made with Micarta and camel bone inserts and really fits the hand. The knife comes with a leather sheath that has a belt loop -- that way you can keep it on your hip all the time for ready access.Let's be honest here...knives are not made to be gawked at or displayed. They are meant to be used in cutting things, so we need to talk about that cutting edge. The blade itself is 9 inches long; however, 7.5 of it is the actual cutting edge. That difference has a great notch for you to be able to rest your forefinger if you are using the blade for a finer purpose (not whacking branches). This knife keeps its edge really well. I took it to the woods with me to hack some shooting lanes and it held up extremely well. I bought the Demascus blade of this knife and I am very impressed! If you are unsure about these knives, stop your questioning and buy one now! These knives are beautiful in every way! They are very well built, they come very sharp and they come with a very nice sheath! 5 stars all the way. My only complaint is that I feel like I stole it because they are so damn cheap!
