This Item Is NOT Suitable For an Actual Firearm.
Went this morning to my local gun range to put my pistol through the paces. The item fit was good but when I affixed my Olight Balder Pro it fit really well. Then everything went down the tubes. My pistol is a straight, out-of-box, 1911A1 Gov't Model made by Tisas. The ammunition I use is 230 grain FMJ manufactured by Sellier&Bellot. I made my proper adjustments to insure the Olight's laser was aligned to my pistol's bore axis with a boresight laser. After the first round out I notice a significant drop with the Olight system. I checked and cleared my pistol and saw that the entire mount was drooping down at/around 20-25 degrees. I thought that I needed to just tighten the screws that hold the rail mount to the trigger guard. I did such and resumed my exercise. Nope. Did not fix the drooping issue. So I took the Olight off and just decided to go with my iron sights. No fast shooting, no hot loads, no +P ammunition, just plain old 230grain "ball". On the third round I felt something hit my safety glasses. I set my pistol down, notified the range safety officer and found out that the whole item had literally shattered. The only piece that was found was part of the pivot attachment screw. The long thin screw shown in the item's photos. Please understand, I was really hoping that this item was worth owning and I don't pay much attention to the reviews because people will say anything about anything,so I took the risk and purchased it. In just my personal opinion, if you want this for Mil-Sim, Airsoft or a BB/pellet pistol then it would be a really nice add-on. But, in my personal opinion based on my personal experience, this item is not meant for an actual firearm, nor should it be considered for use on one. This is my personal review based on my personal experience. Nothing more, nothing less.

It kinda sucks but it works for my case.
Using this on a .22 1911 and its fine with recoil. No way this would handle anything centerfire. Would work good for Airsoft. Takes up a lot of room in the trigger guard. I trimmed that off and used some epoxy (its never coming off) and it holds up well with a cheap dual CR123A batterie flashlight. Again this is on a .22 for training, do not use this for anything other than training or as a toy.

NOT mil-spec. Couldn't mount securely on my firearms. Cramps finger access to trigger..
Poor design for 1911 Style FIREARMS. Clamps to triggerguard, but does NOT make contact with frame above the triggerguard to make it not secure because it is not tall enough. Therefore the mount is free to move/ rotate, wobble, etc. It cramps the trigger finger/ limits access to the trigger. I don't have large hands or fingers. I am a retired experienced gunsmith and competitive shooter. I have 4 1911 pistols, and this item did NOT fit any, not my Colt, Thompson, or Essex. Definitely not mil-spec. I stopped trying to fit the item after the 1st 3. I thought this would be great because it wouldn't cover the serial #s on the frame so that if law enforcement wanted to check the firearm. Returning this item ASAP. MAYBE item would fit airsoft/ pellet guns? Take your chances??

material
After a very hard installing procedure, the item didn't fit well my 1911, at the end it seems to be loose. Screws are too short, extremely hard to handle them, I added a flashlight and it holds it. material is bad, very cheap kind of plastic or poly acetyl. It did NOT come with a wrench!! very important and it was a pain in the neck to get one so tiny.
