Sturdy material; inflates easily with soda straw.
I'm an old paratrooper; my lower back has led a hard life. I think this item will make computer work and sitting to read a lot more comfortable. Rough surface is OK but it could get old; easy to flip to smooth side. Size is fine for me (5'11', 175 lbs.)Function: tilts pelvis forward to encourage good back posture (like standing at attention for us military types); much better than 'lumbar support' thing I tried previously. I will get something similar for my car.The inflation hole is ~1/4 inch/ 5mm so the fitball/ soccer ball type inflation pump needle adapters won't work. No oral inflation device was included.I almost ordered a Gymnic pump but realized a common fast-food soda straw was about the right size to function as an adapter. Needed to fold it slightly; straw I used was ~6mm. Inflated with a few easy puffs. Doesn't seem to leak any with nylon plug in place.Like the fact this thing is built to strict European standards as far as non-toxic materials unlike Chinese stuff. Italian build quality is usually good so I expect it to hold up. Would prefer a more neutral color, e.g. khaki or tan.Note: I posted a question earlier about inflation (first time I have tried question) and was very impressed to see two kind people had already answered. Thanks folks!

Back pain begone
Would have given it 5 stars just felt it is a little pricey. However I love it. It is really helping me correct my posture and I am finding out that most of my back pain stems from sitting incorrectly.

Overpriced, Good for reducing/preventing hip & leg pain
I'd rate this a four instead of a three, if it weren't for the price. This company's version is way overpriced. For about $20 less, you can get the same product that includes extra air plugs and a device to help remove the air plug so you don't hurt your finger nails. It's hard not to wonder if this company is buying the product on Amazon, removing some of the packaging, and reselling it. In terms of functionality, the wedge helps for keep my pelvis at an angle that reduces the pain in my hip and legs that I get with long periods of sitting. It can be a bit uncomfortable, however. Either there's too much of a bump in the middle, or the back corners dig in over time. It's impossible to get it inflated at pressure where one or the other isn't a problem. I usually switch back and forth between using it by itself and using it with another thin cushion on top. It is, however, much better than foam cushions that compress in the wrong places, and wedges do help significantly reduce my hip and leg pain after a long day of work. If you inflate it so that there's a bump in the middle, it kind of works like a sitting on a ball allowing you to move your pelvis around some while you sit, but I find that doesn't work for long periods of sitting and it can be distracting to others if you're using some type of video chat. It would be nice if it were bigger. I can't imagine that this would be comfortable for anyone who would rate the sitting part of their anatomy as anything but small or medium small. So far I've been unable to find one of these in a larger size.

I decided to give this one a try and am glad I did
I was instructed by a physical therapist to find a cushion to use on hard chairs to aid in supporting my lower back. I decided to give this one a try and am glad I did. As a musician who frequently has to sit in orchestra rehearsals for hours at a time, and for someone around 5 ft tall, finding the right chair is a constant struggle. This cushion is very comfortable and the angle works so well for me. It came already inflated about 40-50% and I decided to leave it and try it out before changing the air pressure. I had these concerns: -air leaking out, too squishy, bumps too uncomfortable, -however NONE of these have been an issue and I have owned my Gymnic cushion for almost a month. Highly recommend for musicians out there with any chair problems, this has greatly reduced my back pain! Other notes: -my therapist recommended a website that had really expensive products with long shipping times so I chose to buy something similar on Amazon, the Prime shipping was a life saver during a busy work month when I needed this asap. -Also I made a black fabric cover so it blends in with the concert black on stage, just as an idea for others who might be concerned it is too blue to use in a work space!

SO disappointed.
OK. I admit that I did not purchase this for the purpose it was intended. I had a total hip replacement and it was necessary that when sitting my knees be below my hips for the first six weeks. This "wedge" seemed the perfect solution. The problem was that I could not even sit on it--it was just so uncomfortable. Maybe an autistic child (this was the original intent of the cushion) would find comfort in it, but I certainly did not.

Helps a Lot
I suffer from Sciatic pain from sitting at work all day (Truck driver). I've tried several cushions with no relief. I've tried an inversion table, which made my back hurt worse. This cushion has been the answer to my problems. My lower back is so much better now. My sciatic pain (hip area of the buttocks) has almost gone away. You can even exercise your hip by moving side to side a bit. I inflated it to where it still gives, but it doesn't go flat when you sit on it. This product is very well made. Looks like it will last forever. It is not like those foam cushions that go flat. I saw videos of similar products from Germany and the UK, but I couldn't find them in the US. This cushion is made in Italy. It's well worth the price.

Unstable
We have tried many seat wedges, and most don't work because they are too soft and mushy. This one might have worked, but no matter how much or how little air we add, it is wobbly. In fact, it is so unstable at any level of inflation that it exacerbated my back problems. That noted, we have thought about cutting it open and filling it with buckwheat or something more stable. The wedge is nicely shaped and sized.

Improves position
This wedge helps improving your position while sitting. Having the pelvis correctly tipped is the ideal for a good spine support. The inclination of the wedge helps this to be reached. It has also a good size. I covered with a nice cloth and it looks better.
