Mega Man Gigamix Volume 2 (MEGA MAN GIGAMIX TP)

Great story aimed at older kids and adults
Unlike the Megamix books and Gigamix 1, this book is one long continuous story. It is set shortly after the events of the first story in Gigamix 1. It's not clear whether the events of the second story happened or not, or when. The first section of GM2 roughly follows the plot from MM8. Duo crash lands on Dr. Wily's island, appearing as he does in the cutscene in the beginning of the game, not the more familiar form we all recognize. There are a few changes. For example, there's no mention of any type of good or evil energy, and Dr. Light does not sound like Elmer Fudd with a head cold (thank god.) Mega Man never goes to the island, instead proto-Duo chases down Wily trying to kill him as the RMs attempt to hustle the unconscious doctor off the island. After a very long battle, Mega Man defeats proto-Duo and the eight Stardoids literally crawl out of his corpse. It's pretty creepy. The Stardoids are presented as an unstoppable evil force out to get their jollies by destroying the Earth and tormenting people and robots just because they can.The story is intense and well paced, and more than a little sad. It's also very grim and dark, much more so than the previous volumes. Humans are never actually shown getting killed, but there are human casualties mentioned. The story makes it clear that robots are people in this world, and many of them apparently end up perma-dead in very graphic ways, though who knows? It might be some elaborate ruse on Wily's part. Can't wait for the last volume.

The Stardroids are Mega Man's most dangerous opponents
The sheer brutality that Mega Man and company go through at the hands of the Stardroids is staggering. Gigamix Vol 1 and Vol 2 find Ariga at his highest level in both drawing and storytelling. The earth is at stake and I found that I could barely put this one down. The Stardroids are essentially invincible and make quick work of all the Doctor Light AND Wily robots. I would recommend to any fan of Manga and/or Mega Man.

Very interesting and nice.
Cool! This book is good like all the others. It's cool that we have to read backwards like the japanese does. It's very good reading here. The story is great, haven't completed it yet, but so far, I love what I read, and see no reason to not like it.

A fun take on the series based more on the video ...
A fun take on the series based more on the video games themselves. Was a wild ride till the end.

So Much Drama
I enjoyed the Megaman Megamix series so much, I had to read the Gigamix series. By the second volume, it will remind you of The Empire Strikes Back, the whole gets darker before it gets brighter, but it's worth it to stick with it to the end.

Epic
It begins the Stardroids saga beginning the epic conclusion to Hitoshi Ariga's Megaman series. I'd suggest you also pick up volume 3 to see how it ends.

Fantastic Manga
As a fan of MegaMan I was really happy to look forward manga cause MegaMan Fan doesn't have new MegaMan games to play with it.The entire serie is really cool.If you love MegaMan you will not be disappointed. By the way this is a Japanese Manga it has not been destroyed by American StoryTeller.
