Q: What comes in the box?

There is only a USB cord...since the device is bus powered it doesn't need a separate power cord...other than that it has the overlay...and as far as i remember ...some stickers and documentation.

Q: I have a pioneer dj serato , dose it work together? And what is the application for this device ?

My understanding is that it was principally designed to work with a DJ app called Traktor Pro (the pro version of DJ software from Native Instruments). And it works seamlessly with it... I have two of these with an S4 Mk2 controller. That said, I think this can also be used as a midi device with other applications like Serato but will likely require some custom mapping to work properly (there may be a few YouTube vids out there on how to do this). Hope this helps.

Q: Does anybody know of a stand that would raise this to about the same height as a flight case?

This one works pretty well, but it will depend on the size of you flight case. (http://www.amazon.com/Native-Instruments-TRAKTOR-KONTROL-Stand/dp/B00BMHUXNE) Alternatively, you can always place it on top of the soft NI case for the X1.

Q: Can you make beats on it? or is it just remix based i want to make hip hop beats but i need to know if i should get this or spend the extra $150

Technically, yes. I imported samples (or Traktor specific remix tracks) and made beats on the fly using the F1. As others have mentioned, I also captured beats on the fly during a set. But I don't think this is meant to create or produce beats the same way as Ableton Push or NI Maschine or other drum/loop machines. Note that this also works well with STEMs if you have an interest in using them (can add a new element to any set). IMO: If you want to create hip-hop beats or loops from scratch, save them, edit them, and use in a set, then this may not be the best device (look for a DAW, production machine or sequencer). If you want to add real-time remixing capabilities to a live set then this may be it. Hope this helps.
