Well, I love tripods - have the large, iron variety for base camping - they are heavy but wonderful with cast iron cookware. Also have the far lighter Stansport Grill Tripod Cooker(18-Inch), which is great out in the back yard - but have now fallen head over heels for this little piece of kit! Weight is absolutely minimal, very sturdy when assembled, even like the little 1' long pouch! There are plenty of reviews extolling the rest - so I'll keep it simple and say this item was purchased with absolutely no regrets! This one is going into my emergency kit.
