Just to be clear, does this bms stop charging the batteries when the bms's ambient temperature reaches -7c?
I'm a little confused about which chemistry this bms is for. it says 18650 in some places and lifep. does it work with lifepo4 prismatic cells?
Will this work with LifePo4 32650 6000ma 12.4v?
Will this BMS work for solar applications to charge a 280ah battery pack at 12v?

A must with lithium.

I've owned multiple daily products and when it comes to regulating big cells of lithium it's recommended utilizing bluetooth. The build quality is solid and it is simple to install once you bolt it down. The Bluetooth has decent range but doesn't like too much interference which will require you to be closer. Functionality is simple and straightforward as long as you possess basic understanding of how to set up lithium battery parameters. Note; recommend setting up your lithium and limiting communications to avoid any form of hacking to the actual battery. Back door to the software could cause overcharging undercharging and that is a concern. Other than that this is a great product that has personally allowed me to create several 1000 amp batteries.

Defective Product Recieved - Daly 100A 4S Smart BMS

Cell 1 shows about 100mv lower on the app than the measured voltage and bounces around +/- 10mv like a loose internal connection. Everything else in the app works and tested fine but this defect will affect both balancing and low cell cutout protection. I tested the bms on receiving it, but did not notice this defect until the pack was finished, which is too late to return. There is no way to repair these molded bms units. Will do more thorough testing on whatever I use to replace this.UPDATE: 06-08-23So I ended up buying this again since all the wiring was finished and it was the easy way to move forward. Connected the new BMS to the existing wiring, set the parameters up, and tested it. Everything worked as advertised. A few days ago, Daly reached out to me asking if I had a problem after seeing the review. After I described the problem, they asked for a resistance measurement and then for a picture of the measurement. Three days later, Amazon has refunded the purchase. Given the time difference between here and China, I was impressed at how fast they resolved the problem. Customer service from Daly is far better than I expected. If you live in a cold climate and are using one of these for an outdoor application, be sure to change the cold temperature protection parameter. Charging an LFP battery below freezing will destroy the battery. Overall, this smart BMS has a lot of features for the price, and I would recommend them.

I've purchased two of these 200A 4s 12v BMS - both have failed under very light use.

I've purchased two of these 200A 4s 12v BMS - both have failed under very light use.I built a 4s battery (304ah EVE cells) for our travel trailer and used a DALY 4s 12v BMS with bluetooth. The first one lasted about 1 year until the charge MOS failed; I'd estimate maybe 3 charge cycles. The charge MOS said it was ON, and I could switch the state ON/OFF but, the BMS would not accept a charge. The second one, at first use, randomly shuts OFF the Discharge MOS. Max discharge rates I see on our trailer are around 12A peaks; typical rates are 2-8 amps. I set the max discharge cut off to 50A, and it tripped within the first few hours of use. That seemed odd, my older unit never tripped the discharge MOS but.. I I decided to try to increase the max discharge to 150A and rebooted the BMS; no change, it still randomly tripped the discharge MOS a few more times during the next 2 days.So far, I am two for two with bad DALY BMS units.I checked with the community at DIY Solar forums and it seems the general consensus is that DALY is not a very reliable BMS, and they are not know for good support. I sent them an inquiry and they replied with a generic message which seemed like marketing.

Not bad for a DIY beginners unit and work good.

This lil Daly is great lil unit. Works as designed and balances drown to .020 volts. But would need a added balancer to get that down lower. Anything over .020 volts in the delta it will passive balance.. advice is to slow charge so the balancer can keep up. passive balance is 30ma. Also don't change the sleep time on it unless you plan on charging all the time. When you monitor after the charge is complete with a sleep time the unit has a parasitic draw on the battery and will make your GRADE A or B cells look like they won't hold a charge. the sleep time is in seconds and bms will not sleep while charging as i have noticed with this version. you'll learn as you go. after the charge is done the sleep time comes on and will only balance during the timer. after it sleeps nothing happens. but you will notice upon power up the cells have settled down on their own. i disconnected the balance leads to test all this. upon checking the cell 10 hours after charge they remain at 3.567 avg each and 20 hours a couple of 100ths dropped of and stopped.

I tried but, had no luck

First off I am not a professional. I am a diy kinda guy, learning along the way. I know electrical but, not the best when it comes to programming. With that said and after trying tons of settings. This just did not work for me. I was drawing about 30 amps and this was showing a dead short and would go into protection mode and reset. Unfortunately I returned it.

Almost great

I like the interface and easy connection. HOWEVER, if you need to have bluetooth enabled all the time the SOC constantly drops every day even when the cell voltage doesn't move. Cell voltage hasn't moved and yet SOC is down to 90% after a few days. This only happens when you enable bluetooth to stay on to monitor even when there is no current flow. Please Daly fix this bug and you will have a great unit.

Deceptive product description, does not include Bluetooth module.

The picture shows a bluetooth module, the description states "There Will be Alarm Display on Bluetooth Smart BMS APP" and many references and pictures showing the bluetooth module. But it does not come with it, the only way to find out is to comb through the questions and answers. The main reason for a Smart BMS is to communicate by app and collect data. Daly please update your product page, consumers are tired by being lied to.

This is a brick.

This bms doesn't manage anything. I thought Daly was supposed to be one of the best but I found out the hard way they are not. This unit refuses to balance the cells in my battery. Buyer beware. You will have better luck with one of the units at Battery Hookup or Overkill Solar.
