Q: What is the difference between this and mini-click model?

This model has an instant shut off when it starts raining - the mini clik will only go off when the pre-set level has been achieved

Q: Will the rain-clik be compatable with my rainbird controller?

Yes - if the controller doesn't have a rain sensor port, you can wire the Rain Clik to the common valve wire. It will work just fine.

Q: Do these sensors still use the old technology of cork type floats to shut of sensor?

The one I installed 2 years ago has a series of disks , 4-5 stacked vertically , may be made of cork don't know but the sensor works great.
