Garmin 010-12497-00 Vivoactive HR Band - Black

The keeper on my old band broke after two years, but after looking at the Garmin site, and seeing the cost to ship only a $3.00 keeper, I decided to just buy an entire replacement band kit, since the band itself was starting to become worn, too.I looked at the pretty, colorful third-party bands, but after reading reviews, I decided the Garmin was the way to go, since I have a fairly physical job and my vivoactive takes a beating.Same kit they sell on their own site, but Prime cut the shipping cost AND time. Yay!

I am VERY happy with my purchase. It is the genuine Garmin vivoactive HR band. It came with everything as stated, and was very easy to replace.

While the replacement band worked for me, I'd like to point out that this new replacement band is about 1/2 inch shorter than the band that came with my Garmin HR. My wrists are not that big, but if you have the original band and you were using most of the available length, this new band may not be long enough for you. Other than that, this band is just like the original..

Learned the hard way by trying to go cheap. While the cheap band worked, it wasn't a good fit, had too much excess band and no good way to hide it. Nothing beats the original band designed specifically for the Vivo Active HR.

Perfect fit and install as this appears to be an authentic Garmin band. I was unaware that there are size differences. I needed an Xl but this appears to be a L. So, I replaced the damages strap and kept the longer original strap on the VA HR. Keep that in mind when purchasing replacement bands.

This band is expensive but very high quality. Earlier I bought a cheap imitation that looked OK but was made from soft rubber and was, frankly, junk, This one is exactly the same as what originally came with my Garmin

It is as expected, perfect replica of OE. Pins, tools, bands, band retainer are all included. I don't think it is 23 dollars worth of material, but its 23 dollars.

Looks good for a factory replacement band. Should have two safety loops in my opinion. Reason I had to buy another band. Safety loop broke. Most off brand bands have two safety loops and are a fraction of the price. Just don't say "garmin" on the clasp. This band was a full inch shorter than my original. Would still work but just barely. Put safely loop on my old band. P.S. should have just bought the safety loops.
