Do these have any metal in them/ the tip? My kid liked using a regular stylus, but then I found it scratched the heck out of my phone.

Yes they are made with a metal tube. I have not found any problems with the tubes scratching surfaces. The tip I find will wear out with to much aggressive use. As they are short i found them difficult to use for me. I took 2 stylus's broke the bottom off, took the flat soft bottom and put some Gorilla Glue on the inside of the tube and around the soft bottom, joined them together and let them sit for at least 1 hour to let the glue dry. Then I wrapped them tightly with strapping tape making a long stylus that works very well for me. I assume the shorter stylus will work for kids depending on their age and size. I love the longer stylus! Maybe if the company that makes them could produce a longer one this would sell well for them. Ray

Are these tested to kid safety standards?

I don't know. I bought them for my mom who has arthritis in her hands. These are great for her needs.

Does it work on Kindle Fire for children?

Yes, it can be used for touch screen devices

I do not see why they would not work. They work on every touch screen device I have.
