very good book
This book is a must have for any preschool teacher. It is an easy read that held my attention enough to read the entire book in 2 evenings. It really focused on how important play is in early childhood. It is essential for learning. every school administrator and all policy makers should have to read this book. It would be nice for parents too.

Fantastic Resource!
This is such an amazing book to help review developmentally appropriate practice. It gives so many ideas and strategies to use in a classroom! The PD that went along with this directly from the author made the book come alive in a different way!

Agree with her philosophy on the importance of play in the toddler/prek years. She had research to back up her points and suggestions for gathering your own.

Buy it if you wanna know about play-based, organic learning.
For £9.99 it's so worth every penny. It's in easy to read language. Research backed and quite to the point.I'm so impressed I'm even driven to buy ooey gooey.I'd known a thing or two about 'play-based curriculum' but after reading this book I now know what a fake slogan it is.Was planning to home-school my youngest, this is the sort of book that has encouraged me to do so.Definitely recommend!

EXCELLENT READ, a must for teachers.
Easy prose and very straightforward, Lisa expresses the need to reevaluate the way play is addressed in schools. It really opens your eyes to play-based learning and the journaling questions are an incredible resource to self-evaluate your beliefs and how you will make your practice better. 100% RECOMMEND! A book you will read and re-read for many years to come.

Good book
I actually really liked the author's voice in the beginning half of the book. I would like to read more about her experiences. I found the rest great as well, however, each chapter was a bit repetitive and mostly could've all been summed up pretty succinctly in a few pages.
