The game mixes strategy with resource management in the 1920's gangster era. Tons of fun

This game had a lot of potential but clunky gameplay and a slew of bugs has made it very difficult to play. One of my biggest pet peeves is the constant popup screens. You may be hitting a button to go into a building and an ill timed pop-up screen will automatically cause you to make a decision you might not want to. The screens happen a lot. There’s also the case of gang members disappearing with no way to find them on the map. I’ve already lost two. I know some people have been firing those gang members just to hire them back but it shouldn’t come to that. Visually it’s great although you have to zoom way in to see the detail. The concept is awesome but the delivery lacks in many areas. Such a shame.

This game received some bad press off the start, and rightfully so. I bought this back in December and it was buggy as all hell. But the team has been releasing updates and working to ensure the game runs as intended. Now I don’t encounter the game breaking bugs that occurred at release. I know people will give them flak for releasing too early but once you get the hang of the game and how to properly build up your empire while not stepping on the toes of other mob bosses (or declare war on all of them) the game is incredibly fun and there aren’t any other games like it. If you like Xcom style combat and have always wanted to build a gang empire in 1920s Chicago then congratulations, this is for you.

They didn’t explain enough on how to play the game. The upkeep, Alcohol, the fast travel, what should you buy and especially trading.It needs to be more simplified like XCOM, Gears tactics, mutant year zero, and wasteland 3.
