Phenomenal value, far beyond what I expected.
I've had mine for a few weeks and nearly 200 miles, and I can heartily recommend this to anyone who is looking for a easy, cheap, and reliable first e bike. There are obviously some places where it's less than stellar-the headlight, while perfectly usable is a little on the dim side for my preference. The seat is, in a word, passable. Be ready to stand up and readjust often, because your rear is going to inevitably get sore. The brakes are cable rather than hydraulic, and seem prone to cable slip. It is easy enough to periodically adjust, but it's something that will get annoying eventually. The throttle is not as responsive as I'd like. There is a good 1.5 seconds or so of delay from when you pull the throttle and when the motor engages, and the same goes for the pedal assist. So all that sounds a bit discouraging, right? Well, here's the greatest strength that negates all those issues: THIS IS A $300 EBIKE. It does 22 mph, will do over 20 miles on mostly throttle (some hills require you to pedal), and aside from the (replaceable) seat is quite comfortable thanks to both ends having suspension. And you can fold it up and stuff it in a corner when you don't need it. You'd honestly pay more to convert your bike to an ebike than you would to just buy this one, and most if not all of those issues I previously stated can be addressed by throwing just a little bit more money at it. A solid product, well worth the price.

Awesome experience and very good cycle to buy
Very comfortable cycle, battery range does come close to 40-50 miles per charge. I always wanted a cycle which can easily go into my Midsize SUV as I never wanted to fix a cycle rack on my car, this one folds really well and easy to load into the car. Drawback is its bit heavy around 55-60 pounds but should be ok to lift it. I like the experience of riding on this cycle, so far I’ve cycled for 300 miles, it’s amazingly good, didn’t expect it. I’m a beginner in cycling world, I’d say this one would be good for beginner to intermediate cyclists. Customer service: Especially the customer service is very prompt and promising, I had some issues with the seat post and the seat, they have supported really well by sending the replacement items promptly.

Buying experience-good, shipping experience-horrible, quality of bike-very happy(Initial review)
So this is my first experience into ebike world. Being trained in the operation and maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants, “attention to detail” and “research” are quite possibly my strongest traits. So with that said I have spent about one full year researching ebikes, reading reviews and comparing features, pros and cons, price points and anything else ebike related before finally settling on this Vivi 26” mountain bike for myself. I decided at this price point, this is where I wanted to start for personal use before buying any for the rest of the family. Here is my experience so far. Ordering: I found this ebike with 350W power and 8Ah battery through the seller hemker. Ordering was easy enough. I ordered on July 18th, with an expected delivery date of August 1st. Fair enough. About July 27th, there was still no update about the bike shipping, and when looking again at the seller hemker, I noticed that the price had dropped $20 from the time I ordered it until then. At that time, it was now showing the 500W bike selling for the price I had paid. I reached out asking the seller to explain the difference, confirm what I had ordered and asked about the bike shipping. The seller responded quickly each time I wrote, explained every difference, did confirm that the price did drop, and freely offered a refund for the difference. I was greatly satisfied with the responses. Shipping: As above, it took a full 10 days from the time I ordered the bike, until it even shipped, or at least updated that it shipped. So on July 28th, the package had arrived in California and immediately left for my location (across the country). Expected delivery date of still August 1st. The package didn’t arrive in my state until August 1st. After 8pm August 1st, Amazon notifies me my package is delayed, now to expect it somewhere between August 2-4. The updates and tracking for this package was horrible. And 10 days after the order to ship? In between this time, I found several sellers online who promised I could order the same bike, at almost the same price point, and have it in under a week’s time. WELL….the package has arrived. Open it to find the bike was neatly and nicely packaged…..EXCEPT the front wheel is so bent it is UNUSABLE. Bike Quality: I REALLY like it. As I unpackaged the bike, right away the front wheel/rim is so badly bent it is unusable. Don’t even have to spin it to see how wrapped it is. Now it is at a local bike shop tonight hoping the shop can salvage the rim and straighten it as I really don’t want to wait another week or two for a replacement from the seller if it takes that long. (UPDATE: Bike shop tried to fix wheel, but it was too badly bent to get it straight. Contacted seller and awaiting a response.) As I’ve assembled the rest of the bike, The REAR SHIFTING DERAILLEUR needed adjustment immediately, the REAR DISC BRAKES needed adjustment immediately, and the SEAT POST barely fits into the frame (needs a hammer). Beyond that “so far” the FRAME and HANDLE BARS seem good, sturdy and strong. FOLDING of the bike FRAME is super easy (compared to a similar folding bike I purchased last week for the daughter). Front BRAKE HANDLES and SHIFTERS feel like weaker plastic but functional. SHIFTERS are smooth to operate, hold position well. BRAKES work pretty good after adjusting. Not the best stopping power, but enough. The HAND GRIPS and twist throttle feel good. The HORN cylinder doesn’t work. I'm not concerned with this horn anyway. CABLES are thick, but flexible. Front HEADLIGHT works very well. MUD FLAPS are flimsy and don’t seem they will hold up well over time. Constantly had to stop and adjust them back to center during the first ride of the bike. I didn’t even try the SEAT, immediately replaced with aftermarket. BATTERY charged up easily, hooked up/plugged in to the bike simply and securely and the PEDAL ASSIST and THROTTLE ONLY mode works wonderful. MOTOR seems powerful, though without front wheel cannot test on the road. (UPDATE: During first test ride, I'm almost 6 foot and 230 lbs, the pedal assist was smooth engaging, pickup speed well and was a delight to use. The throttle mode takes a moment to get up to speed, but does so easily enough.) I am hoping that once my front wheel returns from the local bike shop true and straight, I can mount the front tire on, adjust the front brakes and actually ride the bike to see if it was all worth it. If or when that happens, I will attempt to update this review. Conclusion: Based on extensive reviews and research, I believe the Vivi ebike will be the quality as expected at this price point and a fair price point I believe it is. However, the shipping left much to be desired and the final condition the bike arrived in was a disappointment. I can say I have been satisfied by the customer response from hemker so far. (UPDATE: After the first test ride of ~5mi of pedaling for exercise, and about ~1mi of pedal assist and throttle usage, this bike is FUN. The speed isn't too fast and acceleration is what you imagine with only a 350W motor, but its speed is addictive. For a person of my height and weight, it was fun and never felt out of control. I do want to buy one of higher Watt output, but for just entry level getting INTO EBIKEs, this 350W I feel was a great buy to start at. The ride is AMAZING for me. With the duel suspension, the front FORKS are softer but handle bumps very smoothly without bottoming out. The rear suspension is a little stiff, though it might just be a preload adjustment to the spring. However it is almost the smoothest ride on a bike I have ever had.)

Amazing product!
I got the vivi e-bike delivered today and so far it's amazing!! I live in the Smoky mountains and I was worried it wouldn't climb my mountain (I live on top of the 3rd highest mountain in Gatlinburg Tennessee which has the steepest grade in the Smoky mountains) my first ride was to my work (which is mostly downhill) I got to work and someone called out so I wound up working a couple hours to help out(while at work I charged battery) after work I was worried it wouldn't climb my mountain, boy was i wrong!!! This 500w awesome bike muscled up the mountain no problem!! I almost got the 350w because it was cheaper, I'm glad I didn't. I have only used the power assist and I barely peddled on the steepest part (it could have done it on power alone but was a little slow and I have the need for speed lol) I will probably go through a lot of brake pads but I am extremely impressed!!! I just wish there was an option to add an extra battery (for an additional fee of course) so I could have it in my backpack just in case. I am going to test milage on a full battery charge (later today since it is after midnight writing this review) I will post another review (or update this one not really sure how Amazon reviews work since this is my first written review on Amazon) i might make a video of my ride tomorrow (technically later today since it is after midnight) and post it here( so people who are researching can see how awesome this e-bike is!! ( maybe vivi will give me a discount on extra battery if I do, wink wink nod nod lol) but seriously an awesome under $1000 e-bike!!! I highly recommend this e-bike! How do I get an extra battery and how much is it? Contact me vivi! What an awesome e-bike!! Still in love with this bike!! Brake cable broke and I got it fixed, I have emailed company about which break pads i need it took a few days for them to respond. They wanted order # to tell me which break pads i need still have not heard back oh well guess it's trial and error and time ! Great bike!!! Company response ehhh.... But still highly recommend bike once I figure out what brake pads it needs i will post.

Refuse to honor warranty.
I started a warranty claim 2 months ago. They have claimed several times that they are sending a replacement battery and yet the shipment (of which they gave me a tracking number to) has remained "NOT FOUND" Every time I bring this matter to them, they claim that it is a priority to them and they are trying to expedite it. I have read so many great reviews that I truly dont understand why the customer service I am receiving is severely lacking. The bike was great right up till I lost all power going up a slight incline. My commute to work is less than 10 miles and the battery gets plugged in at work. This is a simple battery replacement warranty, and I am going on 2 months, 2 days with absolutely no resolution and empty promises.

Good bike e-bike for the money
The bike isn't really hard to put together. It just takes time. People have said in other reviews you have to tighten every screw, don't let that scare you. There's not really all that many, or at least not as many as I thought there would be. It wasn't hard to double check any kind of work and tighten everything. Watch the videos online. It helps. I suggest after you build the bike to just take a 10-minute ride, you'll figure out the adjustments you need to make after that. In other words, don't go far from home and let yourself have a test run. The electric modes are great and very functional. I love this bike for its folding capability. And as other reviewers have shared, it's heavy. For the price, it's really great. Yes, there's a heavy shipping but then again it's a heavy bike. I can't find anything for under $600 that this thing can do. There's an older model and a newer model, even though they pretty much operate the same, I ordered two bikes and one was the newer version and one was the older version. The newer version has an upgraded control panel and charging system. It also has keys and lock for the battery. Some people have complained about the older versions battery and how it's situated onto the bike, although I haven't found any issues. At the end of the day they're both excellent. Again, it just was a bit of a bummer to see how cool some of the new features are, which are very subtle. Same price for either bike? How can you tell?? In the pictures look for the bike that has an extended light and the battery compartment in the front of the handlebars looks to be more square and tight to the frame. My wife and I both enjoy the bikes. And because they fold these will be super easy to pop in the back of the hybrid SUV.

Great Heavy Bike but few issues to be fixed by manufacturer
User Rewrite for Amazon review, "I did not expect the bike to reach the advertised range of 50 miles. The most I have achieved on low-power assist mode is 30 miles. It is too early to judge the battery life, but I have not noticed any degradation after one month of use. This bike is heavy and difficult to keep vertical when folded, as the wheels keep moving. Watch out for bruises on your legs due to metal parts hitting your skin. The description says it is an Aluminum frame but the heavyweight does not align with the advertisement. The disk brakes are okay, but not much different from traditional rubber brakes. After assembly, it requires a lot of time to adjust the spokes and the disk brakes, as they tend to rub against the rim and make a hissing sound. This drains the battery while using power assist due to unnecessary friction. Adjusting the disk brakes proves to be a challenging task, regardless of the number of instructional videos available on internet. If taken to a bike shop, expect to pay around $80 to fix this issue. The ride is comfortable thanks to the dual shock absorbers, especially if you change the seat to a more comfortable one. The throttle does not work if you are paddling in low and medium power assist mode. You have to stop and then use the throttle to make it work, essentially useless. Bike needs two to three full rotations of paddle to engage power assist mode, not very helpful when you need a short burst of power immediately while on an inclined slope. Motor is very powerful on inclination while in high-power assist mode and lets you ride comfortably with little paddling Overall, the bike is made with good-quality materials and looks stylish. Update on June 3rd, 2024 The bike is still running good. I do see little degradation in the battery. Especially when there is only one bar left in the battery, it lasts maybe 20 seconds and turns the entire system down. Essentially the last bar is misleading giving you a false hope that there is still some mileage left. Battery case has already worn down and is visible in the picture, attached." ChatGPT I didn't expect the bike to reach the advertised range of 50 miles; the most I've achieved on low power assist mode is 30 miles. It's too early to fully assess the battery life, but after one month of use, I haven't noticed any significant degradation. The bike is quite heavy and difficult to keep upright when folded because the wheels keep moving, which can cause bruises from the metal parts hitting your legs. Despite the aluminum frame advertised, the weight feels excessive. The disc brakes are adequate but not significantly better than traditional rubber brakes. After assembly, adjusting the spokes and disc brakes is time-consuming, as they tend to rub against the rim and make a hissing sound, which drains the battery due to unnecessary friction. Adjusting the disc brakes is challenging, even with numerous instructional videos available online. If you take it to a bike shop, expect to pay around $80 for adjustments. The ride is comfortable, thanks to the dual shock absorbers, especially if you upgrade to a more comfortable seat. However, the throttle doesn't work when pedaling in low or medium power assist mode. You have to stop to use the throttle, which is essentially useless. It also takes two to three full pedal rotations to engage the power assist mode, which isn't helpful for quick bursts of power on inclines. The motor is powerful in high-power assist mode, allowing you to ride comfortably with minimal pedaling. Overall, the bike is made of good-quality materials and looks stylish. Update on June 3rd, 2024: What I experienced after 13 rides on average 10-11 miles each--> The bike is still running well, though I have noticed some battery degradation. When the battery shows only one bar remaining, it lasts maybe 20 seconds before the entire system shuts down, giving a misleading impression of remaining mileage. The battery case has worn down, as shown in the attached picture.

EXCELLENT & RESPONSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
One of my cable connections broke inside the wire. Tech support (through a few emails) worked with me and sent a new replacement cable at no charge. Bike pedal assists well in all gears. Reaches 22 mph with throttle only in 5th gear. A bit heavy because of the battery, motor etc. but normal for it's size. Folds easily, but is still big with the 26" tires. Recommend a ebike rack for your vehicle (works well). I use this bike on the beach. I keep it clean and lubricated, and have no issues.
