The carabiner have a load limit of 3000 pounds which is likely much more than the tie downs. To be sure of complete safety you will need to insure that all the points of your rigging are able to sustain the loads that may take place.

You have to loosen the center nut to be able to depress the actuating arm of the caribeener and then tighten it so that it doesn’t reopen. Hopefully this makes since. It is NOT a spring loaded twist lock caribeener.

Looks like a quality item.

I'm using these to tie a rope to my fishing boat. I don't know how they will do being on an outside application, but they look heavy duty and I like that they can be locked and I don't have to worry about falling off like a regular spring clamp.
