TINT Root Cover Up Hair Powder for Women & Men, Brown, Gray Hair Concealer, Root Touch Up Powder

I'll try to add a before/after photo later. I have an almost white chin beard with a lot of brownish highlights on the sides. If i let the beard grow without coloring, it makes me look years older. I used JFM and another thing called Refectocil for many years, but those both have cause skin breakouts which now are unbearable to the point of incessant itching and oozing. I've been looking for an alternative and did not want to consider an every day temporary option, as i don't want to be worried about going out to socialize and suddenly having my beard color disappear - or wiping it off inadvertently. I tried this with very low expectations. It looks like a woman's makeup applicator. I applied it selectively to the white areas of my beard and within 60 seconds i had a respectable salt & pepper look which is exactly what i wanted. I left it on all day, and expected to have some color change by the end of the day. Even after eating and drinking, using a napkin, a gentle rinse (no soap) the color stayed. I was VERY impressed. It was not until i washed with soap that the color came out. In theory i could carry this stuff with me (it is very small) and re-apply if necessary in an emergency. it is small enough to keep in a pocket or easily in a computer or other business bag.

Really glad I found this. I had tried Magic Root which is half the price. It looks like fake hair and is super tacky. Doesn't give precise coverage. And I tried Style Edit which is twice the price. It's really nice but dang, it's pricey. This is just right for root touch ups. It gives very natural looking coverage in between dye jobs. It doesn't damage your hair and at least for me, it stays on my head between washes. It's the sweet spot for price versus quality. If it takes 2 minutes to apply I'd be surprised. Small size is good for on the go when you realize you missed a spot. All around love.

If you want to keep a closely trimmed beard, mustache or hair on your head, you know you can't successfully dye it. But this product can be used daily as a sort of mascara to keep the gray away. The color is natural looking. Don't go too dark if you don't have superman-black hair. The product consistency is something between shoe polish and a powder compact. There is no fragrance. It can be tricky finding the right applicator. You can use the sponge included, or you may have success with a large makeup brush or a makeup applicator pad. Cotton balls and pads will shred. You will need to check carefully to make sure you have blended your product into the beard, and that you don't have streaks on non-hairy places. The product will come off your face onto your hands, clothing and other things your face might brush against. If you scratch your face, check your fingernails.

As I've gotten older and noticed more and more grey hairs on my head, I struggled to find a product that was easy to apply and had positive results. I found it with this product. My natural hair color is black and I wanted something that hid the gray but not to the point where it looked like I applied shoe polish to my head. This product is easy to use. It comes with the applicator affixed to the bottom of the jar so you don't have to store it separately. Also, the lid doubles as a mirror for those moments when you need to be discrete and a mirror isn't handy. Personally, I apply the tint to my temples where the graying is more prominent. Take the applicator and dab it onto the powder to form a nice smooth surface then apply to the areas that need camouflaging. Upon first application you may over dab the area but that can be cleaned up nicely with a cotton swab or cotton ball. Also, it covers the areas that show your scalp if you are thinning some hairs on your head so it's not as shiny. The tint stays on for over 12 hours but be careful not to scratch the areas where you apply it as it will definitely get under your nails. It washes off completely after shampooing and because it only contains natural ingredients, I haven't had any reactions to the application. Not recommended for facial hair as expect some residue to get on your face and clothing as the day goes on.

It's great when you first put Oz on, however you happen to go by a mirror or see your reflection and then you see all that Grey is showing thru. I had to purchase several bottles to keep up.

I've been using this for several years and I've never had a person tell me I was dying my beard. The pro's if you get the pointer application tool it will allow you to line up your face almost like a barber and can address the gray patches in your beard better than the larger applicator. Also, if you use in conjunction with a beard balm, the Tint will go on thicker and last virtually the whole day. Yeah it's messy to apply by hand I recommend using plastic gloves. Yes if you wipe off the excess tint with a rag the rag will of course have a dark spot on it. Because this tint is so good if you shave at home it can make your sink dark from the Tint, but bleach will clear that. And yes finally, be careful of light color clothes if your chin makes contacts it will rub off, and even on the color of your work shirts. But for the price, and a few inconveniences, if you manage this right you will be pleased with product.

1. Goes on patchy and once you apply it, you cannot spread it around to give you a natural / even look. 2. You have to be aware of not touching your face or when wearing light colored clothes. 3. Gets on the skin easier than on the beard and that just looks weird because it's not easy to remove from the skin. 4. The applicator pad provided makes it impossible to do intricate areas like mustache and sideburns without smudging it on the surrounding skin areas. Good concept. Poor execution. Save your $. Unfortunately. The traditional dye is still the best method
