Pleased with this device, does what it says
This works quite well. We wrote a small application in the AutoIt language so we can compile to a portable EXE. Our app directly "bit bashes" the IR commands over TCP just like the iLean utility does when you press the "Send IR" button. (get this off the Global Cache website) I used Wireshark to see what it sends over the network to replicate this behavior, it's pretty simple. We recorded the commands using the ILearn utility pointing our remote to the reset button hole, and basically copy paste the recorded string, with a linefeed & carriage return at the end. All you have to do then is smash the string over TCP to the iTach. Our method is not working well over high latency links, but probably due to not having adjusted any TCP settings in our app. If you are on a LAN, this method works a treat. We have not tested any cloud services, as we wanted our solution to be 100% independent and internal. If you have zero programming experience, notepad and iLean are really all you *need* to make this do something over a network.

works great as expected
i like this product, it did take some tweaking and after a couple of attemtps i was able to do the ilearn program, i use it in conjucntion with command fusion and iviewer 4 on my iphone/ipad to control an entertainment system and whole house audio.the only issue with this is that i never got the PoE to work, it requires me to plug it in to an outlet for it to work

Works with Crestron. Good tech support
We had a TV where there was no direct path to get a IR connected back to our Crestron processor. But we did have network in the building. So we installed one of these and got it working.I did have to call tech support to get everything set up correctly, and tech support was excellent. Once it was all configured, it works reliably. I'd use this again if I ended up in a repeat situation.

connected to my smart home Fibaro system
Great and easy installation of the unit. The help documentation is writen easy to understand. So I could realize my smart home szene fast and easy. I can really recommend this small box for everyone who whants a great and more flexible solution or alternative to other IR products. It has a bigger range with scripting. In my case I can now start my playstation 4 by controller and the power consumption relays triggers the IR signal of the iTech over ethernet for the epson beamer TW-9200 to start.

AWESOME!
this unit is very fluid! no pointing the remote halfway between devices and holding it there until code finishes relaying. i press the button, or macro, and stuff happens! I have not found where i can control the unit from away from the house without opening holes in my firewall. i'm using IRule, it was a pain to learn, but lots of tutorials and FAQ shows that remote to be very functional. i'm not currently using the PoE because i'm using a usb power adapter it comes with which was a pleasant surprise. you know you have an open usb port where this device is going to live. the learn function included wasn't overly difficult, i only had to learn 1 remote for my kdlinks, irule had my hr34, onkyo and vizio already.
