Incredible
This is a wonderful stone clay all around; it's soft, incredibly smooth, and most importantly, lightweight. I find that it's perfect for making ball-jointed dolls because it's so light and pleasurable to sculpt. It can take a lot of detail and isn't springy like some other clays. Another plus is that it has no odor, and unlike paper clays, will actually sand down to a smooth, not fibrous, surface. Sanding is also incredibly easy. As for strength, it's really going to depend on how thick your piece is. It's not chip resistant, but it is fairly durable, just take caution with thinner pieces. Also, it can dry out kind of quickly, so I suggest only taking out what you're going to use and store the rest in a plastic bag that can seal. Keeping a cup of water to moisten your hands and the clay is also very helpful and if you wet pieces, they stick to each other better when adding new layers.

My favorite air drying clay!
I've brought all my social media followers to this particular clay! It's perfect for every mold there is! Whether it's a shallow or deep detailed mold. It has an hour or more open time before drying out. It's so easy to use especially if you get cramps in your hands. Pull it out of the package and straight into your mold. It doesn't stick to your hands at all! Love love this product! I always keep at least 3 packages.

Best paper clay!
I've tried almost all paper clays and this is the best for small to medium sculpture. Not as soggy as most paperclays, easier to sculpt, dries very strong and light. Can be carved and sanded with ease! I usually use the cheaper clays to bulk out a sculpture and use this for details as it's pretty pricey. Also can be mixed fairly well with other Activa paper based clays.

lovely material; highly recommended
The name of the product holds true and is definitely a lightweight clay once dry. I find that the clay is easier to manipulate after being placed on a wet paper towel. The product becomes more easy to smooth over and cover material. The wet paper towel also helps to keep the clay from drying out when they are out of the bag that they have come in. The clay is smooth and easy to work with and sands down very easily, making it ideal for my project; highly recommended and will most likely buy again when the circumstance for this product is needed arises once again.

probably not for detailed doll making but easy to work with overall
I wanted to try making a head sculpt and thought I should try the air dry type of clay before I buy polymer. Well, this clay is really good and easy to work with bare hands + some tools. You'll need to dab water onto the whole surface to prevent some areas from drying out too quickly. Be careful not to put too much water cause then it becomes too mushy and muddy that you won't be able to shape it. After having tried this and polymer clay (sculpey doll clay) it's definitely easier to shape detailed things with polymer clay (texture in between soft-hard) Anyways, this la doll clay is really good and easy to work with if you don't want to bake the clay and just do something rough rather than detailed and small scaled. It feels really soft and is a lot of fun to work with. You'll need tools to carve and shape details.

Perfect for the chaos of creating.
I'm kind of a caveman when it comes to my art, I have to compensate for durability and reduction of material, and this does both with ease. It holds perfectly right out of the bag, and is solid as stone when completely dry. But I am often building the breaking off pieces in fits of creation and refining, I drop those pieces in water and in a few days I can use the clay again. Though naturally, the consistency is altered at this point. The fact that I can do this at all with such a sturdy clay is fantastic.

Great clay, smooth and sturdy finish
This is amazing stuff! There was a bit of a learning curve for me in terms of getting used to the texture, but now I wouldn’t use anything else. I used to use Creative paper clay which I also love- BUT this dries down to a smoother finish and cracks much less. It also dries faster which can be a big plus or a minus depending on what you want to do. But if you work with small bits at a time you’re fine!

Shocking smooth, light and easy to work with
I'm a sculptor of over 10 years who works in oil clay, water based clay polymer clay and digital. I am partway through my first piece with this clay and I can already tell you La Doll Premier is amazing smooth, clean, accepting of fine detail and a true revelation for me when I want to build something that hardens and works as a one-off piece. Premier is going to become a permanent part of my tool kit! I'm in shock that I haven't tried it before this! - Jonathan Payne of Payne Sculptures

Consistenza morbida e liscia, ottima per creare sculture, facile da rifinire una volta asciutta, si può anche aggiurgere altro prodotto sulla superficie asciutta. Lo consiglio.

I love this air-dry clay. I am a mixed media artist. I use this to sculpt delicate leaves and flowers. You can roll it out quite thinly without cracking. It’s very easy on the hands to shape out/roll etc. Very pliable, but not so soft that it does not hold designs well. Takes acrylics nicely.
