Q: Does this bag ship folded or flat in a larger box?

Came in a bag, folded in thirds.

Q: if you only carry one rifle in this will it be too floppy or loose?

Once the bag is zipped up it isn’t floppy. However, the straps do not hold a rifle tight so it will move around if the bag is not secured.

Q: Ive got a 32" ar15 and a 41" mossberg 590 retrograde. Do I have to ge the 48?

My guess is you’ll need at least the 42” so that the Mossberg fits at a slight diagonal inside the case but without doubt the 48” will accommodate them.

Q: Does this 36" case actually hold a 36" rifle ?? I don't think so ???

In the product description (not the pictures) there is a chart '32 inch holds up to 30 inch", etc. I would adjust my stock to fit snugly in the opposite corners which would accommodate a 32"+ firearm without a doubt.
