Asadora!, Vol. 2 (2)

A second volume that sets the stage for more adventure to come! I appreciate the restraint in not showing the 'monster' and it keeps me anxious for what happens next. The pacing is masterful and the story is shaping up to be a great one!

Volume 1 was good but volume 2 blew me out of the water!!!!!!! I was gripping the edge of my seat the whole time, I can’t wait to see this story unfold!!!! I love these strong characters and I am so very invested in them

It’s really good. I nearly cried when Asa was adopted and cheered her on when she tried to get the plane. She’s got a lot of spunk and I like that in a female character!

Urasawa keeps the story going in a fantastic volume 2. The draftsmanship continues to be top notch and I'm fully hooked on the story.

This manga really reminded me of how exciting comics can be. Stakes exist because Urasawa invests us in his characters. At the same time his interest in Japanese pop culture and history is again in evidence. In this series we get not only a kaiju, but it's hard not to see Asadora as being a nod to Miyazaki as well, what with the flying. I will not be so much waiting for the next volume, as looking forward to it.
