I bought a set each of two of the listed styles. They arrived completely intact: while I dislike the use of Styrofoam, there are few alternatives that can ensure the safety of such fragile items. The planters are very well made, with carefully-applied designs, even colors on all pieces, a soft glaze, no crackling, and offset drainage holes. Each set is shipped with size-matched white plastic saucers that have fluted edges. The price is reasonable, taking into account recent actions that require increased costs - and is significantly less than that charged for a very similar item at a Chicago big-box home-and-garden center. I am using the smallest of these for green plants, and the largest for displaying prized utensils in my Oriental-themed kitchen. Highly recommended!

I do not like the fact that the saucer is plastic and not pottery like the planter.

Those planters are realy, realy nice. The blue designs are crsip and clean and my plants will look great in these. They are very well packed and protected.
