I purchased 2 of these “Begin to Knit Sets.” Tropical & Zen. The yarn is very beautiful in color and softness. The yarn is the correct size for a beginner project such as a knitted dishcloth. The circular needle included, is smooth & well made is & the correct size for the yarn weight. A circular needles is perfect for beginner knitters, as trying to learn how to hold the needles is half the battle!! Again a dishcloth would be perfect first project. Your Purchase includes FREE online patterns (their online site is marked on the very nice ziplock bag that items arrive in- which will make a great carry case for your project). Included too is a large needle to sew in the yarn tails from your finished project. Ravelry is an online knitting site that offers free one ball knit patterns and free tutorials! As an experienced knitter, this is a terrific buy, and would make a lovely gift for anyone who wishes to learn to knit! Buy & Good Luck with your project!!

I am mixed on how to review this as I absolutely love the colors and quality of the yarn and its a good price point for a beginner. That said, one of the balls was actually 2 different strings tied together (and got no resolution when I went through Amazon support for help in getting it replaced) :( That is my only issue with this set and why I marked it down in stars.As well, be warned, you *do* get what you pay for (in this case a bargain for a starting kit!), the knitting needles and cable are pretty cheap - I ended up buying a different set to knit with. And, cotton is not very forgiving - you see your mistakes. This was actually a plus for me as while learning I wanted the cotton so that I did see my mistakes. If you want pretty potholders that hide your newbie knitting, get acrylic yarn as it will hide your mistakes.I want to reiterate that this is marked down in stars because the one ball of yarn was 2 strands tied together and it was not replaced. Everything else about this kit is spot on to the photos and descriptions they provide and the colors of the yarn are absolutely beautiful - great set of 4 colors.

My daughter wanted to try knitting, good beginner set. Said instructions were a little fuzzy.

This little knitting set was exactly what I thought it would be and worked great.I think you are spending more money for the convenience of this all in one intro kit. If you went to a craft store or possibly even looked for the separate pieces on Amazon you could save a bunch of money.I do like the wooden circular knitting needles, the compact-ness of the set, and the softness of the yarn, but save yourself some money and get needles and yarn separately for much less.The needles are short and the yarn is enough only to make basically a square washcloth so the value of the soft yarn is lost on me a bit.If you’re lazy like me and don’t want to do the work of going to the store or searching for the needles and yarn online separately, then I bet you’ll be happy with this basic starter kit.

Nice for beginners. The yarn is definitely not sheer ~ it is cotton and not particularly thick but that’s ok. I am enjoying learning with it.

This is kit is definitely not for beginners! The needles are very small for a beginner to work with and the yarn, though soft, is also too thin and splits apart.If you’re truly starting out, I suggest just going to your local craft store and getting some chunky yarn and big needles ( a size 8 or 10mm is recommended) instead of this scam with nice packaging.

It’s really beginner friendly. I started knitting by practicing using this kit. Also! Really soft cotton yarn. My bf is very sensitive to textures especially for stuff to wear. He finds the gloves made out of this yarn very soft. I do think the prize was a little bit high tho...

Yarn looks nice but the instructions are very poor and amateurish.

Die Wolle fühlt sich schön an und hat auch tolle Farben, allerdings ist dieses Set kein Anfängerset! Es bringt nur Kummer und Verzweiflung! Eher für bereits geübte Stricker☝️

I bought this kit to learn how to knit. The yarn is really nice and the needles are easy to use. If you go to their website, you can learn the basics and they even show you how to make your first project.

Ce produit m'aiderait pour apprendre é tricoter, mais voilà il n'y a aucun mode d'emploi comment faire, alors lalaine et les aiguilles ne me servent à rien. Si on mentionne Débutant c'est qu'on a besoin d'explication pour commencer "faire les mailles etc.." Non??

I am a beginner and bought this during 3rd lockdown to relieve stress and learn a new skill. This is a great product, very handy and colours are very nice. I would definitely recommend!
