Better than Cable company's
The router that my alleged cable company rented me... stinks. Constant drops, connection issues, etc. My Steam Deck never connected properly to the 5g. So I got this.Setup was a bit complicated. I admit I don't know routers and networking that well, but I have some experience. The smartphone app seemed limited at first but it's just because I wasn't familiar with it. I was eventually able to connect the old fashioned way, through a browser, but only from my pc. Once I was in, I was able to split the bands properly and tweak the experience. That was day 1. I haven't had a single connection issue since that day. Even my beloved Deck stays reliably connected to 5g and I'm finally able to stream from my pc properly, without any lag, over wifi.Price was good and it performs beautifully for my needs. My only complaint is that there's no way to alter the radio frequency of the 5g bands, to fully eliminate interference from my many neighbors. But my router puts out a strong enough signal that this hasn't been an issue. I very much recommend this router.

I did not know it was used
I did not know this was a refurbished one when I bought it but so far it is working like a new one seems to be connecting to everything, I connect to it, it was very easy to set up it will pay for itself in just a few months with my Rip off internet company they wanted 10 bucks a month for one

Excellent and Affordable
I purchased this router as renewed to replace an existing 13 year old Linksys router. I checked the reviews and specs of this router and decided to purchase it, since it met and exceeded my requirements . My first impression was WoW. This router is well made and built to last, just like my last one. That by itself is a big plus. I looked over the manual and since I needed a Bridge connection on this router, I chatted with Aimee at Linksys instead. She talked me through the setup process and I was up an running in less than 30 minutes. I'm very happy with the help I received and I'm extremely happy with this new router. I've checked for the Wi-Fi coverage and dead spaces and so far it has exceeded my expectations. At the edges of my home, I'm still getting 3 out 4 bars of signal strength. That being said, I don't think I'll need the mesh feature in my home but if I ever want to go extreme, like out in the yard, I have that feature just waiting to be found. I find the Linksys MR9600 router extremely powerful for my use and recommend it to new and old Network DIYers alike. Good Luck and Safe Browsing.

DO NOT BUY
This is the craziest router I've ever bought in my life. You have to install an app to even set it up, and then once you install the app you sit in a reboot loop forever trying to get it to set up.Linksys is definitely gone downhill, you go to their website you can't get any support documentation the user's manuals or anything anymore, this product isn't even listed on their website and when you search for it it can't find anything. It also can't find anything for very popular routers they've made. Also, it is crazy that you need to install an app to set a router up, this is no more than a 5-minute process usually. Also why do I have to have a Linksys account to set up my local network? - there is a reason it's called an LAN, local area network, not LAN for Linksys area network. And why does that account need location services on my phone?

Get it!
Easy installation and great signal! Now the real problem is Spectrum ISP!

Do not use OEM firmware
0 stars for OEM firmware, it's completely broken garbage. Flashed OpenWRT and things are OK. Decent chipsets (only using QCA9886 for this), good range and speeds. It still acts a bit funny but it is good, hence 3 stars.
