I'm An Earth Angel Paperback – December 22, 2020

What a wonderful explanation of how our loved ones can continue to be with us after they have passed away! This book was an easy read for my 9 and 10 year old children, and my son especially found comfort in the confirmation that my father is still with him during everyday tasks . The bright pictures and easy reading allowed my children to read this story independently and opened the door for questions and dialogue. This book was a wonderful addition to our home, as we have lost 3 grandparents. I plan on having my kids read this to my 5 year old niece this weekend, as it will be age appropriate for her as well. My children are certainly Earth Angels, and they now find comfort in this.

Excellent book for children and adults dealing with loss.My 7 & 9 year old understood this right away and related it to the recent death of their pet. Now they request this book for their bedtime story all the time! I love when my 7 year old reads it to me!!This book explains death and moving on in a way no other children's book does. There is no sadness, just a beautiful message.

I got this book to help my 5 year old son cope & understand his grandfather’s passing. It is so incredibly, beautifully illustrated! The story is easy for younger children to comprehend. I love the diversity of the families and children. I felt a sense of comfort while reading this to my son, he was happy that his grandfather is his guardian angel & I know he felt comforted as well. Definitely recommend even if you or the person you are purchasing for isn’t grieving.

I love this book “I’m an Earth Angel”. How wonderful that we can grow our little ones to feel the comfort that their loved ones are with them always.....whether its a pet that has passed or a really cool Grandmother that lives far away! It is so colorful with cheerful illustrations, a bridge to love....Wow, Imagine all kinds of angels to draw strength from as we go about our daily adventures. I truly believe with all my heart in angels! Keeping their love with us here and in our hearts. Thank-you Erin Hourahan and Maria Boutin for creating this book!

Talking about death and ensuring the memories of the people who have died stay with us is hard for adults. We are a grief illiterate society when it comes to adults being open about grief.Imagine how difficult for children.This is a lovely book that allows a grieving child to believe in an ongoing connection to the person (or people) they have lost. This book shows with lovely illustrations how our children have guides with them forever, a real comfort to children (and adults) who lose a love one. And allows them to talk openly about their person.

I'm An Earth Angel is a wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated way to introduce your child to angels. Losing a loved one is a sad and difficult life experience for children and adults alike, but knowing that the spirit of your loved one lives on is comforting. This book will help your child to understand that although they've experienced loss, they have the spirit angel of their loved one watching over them at all times. It also teaches that we have many angels right here on earth who bring us peace, serenity and happiness every day.

This beautifully illustrated and thoughtful book is necessary for anyone (adult or child) who has experienced loss in their life. While being visually stimulating, it prompts the reader to think and talk about those that are no longer with them physically but in spirit - it's a wonderful way to open the lines of communication without being pushy or relying on a specific religion.
