Suits my purpose
The lens I needed to use my Mokose camera as a web cam. Definitely not a parfocal lens; every time you touch the zoom you'll need to focus, but that's expected at this price. Over all it's as listed, was received on time, and is adequate for my task.

great quality of the lens
I'm really satisfied with this lens. I bought the official 16mm lens made by Raspberry for their HQ camera a couple of years ago, and I was hoping the 35 mm could help me getting better pictures of the sky (astrophotography). The result exceeds my expectations, I attach to this review 2 pictures of the Moon, the left one taken by the 16mm lens, the right one by the 35mm. Amazing :) I did not evaluate the exact focal length of the new lens (the previous one was 16.14mm from the chessboard method), but from the field of view it should be very close to 35mm indeed. The luminosity is almost the same (just 5-6% less, but the max aperture is f/1.7 vs f/1.4 for the 16mm). The noise in dark environment also seems excellent, though i did not compare it precisely. All in all with the 16mm I could see stars above magnitude 12, I'm quite confident to reach 13 with this one using proper image stacking.Last but not least the delivery was faster than announced. So, thanks a lot guys :) waiting for the 50 & 100mm lenses now!

For the 16mm cinephile
For its price, this lens is a gem of solid performance in a somewhat unusual use case, namely shooting handheld video on an Eos M.Only real complaint is purple fringing at fast aperture, but who can worry too much about that for the price?Solid feel and build quality, well damped but responsive focus ring

The worst lens I've ever seen
1. The TELE-WIDE ring is mislabeled! TELE expands the viewing angle, and WIDE shrinks it!UPDATE: I received a kind letter from customer service, who offered several options to resolve the issue. It seems I was among the few customers (or even the only ones) who had the wrong zoom ring.2. You cannot focus the image in the entire TELE range.UPDATE: Turns out it's not a fault with the ARDUCAM lens, but with the IFWATER camera body. The distance between the lens seat and the sensor surface was neither 17.53 mm (which is standard for a C lens) nor 12.53 mm (CS lens), but around 14.5 mm, which made it impossible to focus properly. So I have to update the review for IFWATER camera too.
