You can select the following alternate tuning modes: - Standard Tuning - All strings tuned down 1 semitone - All strings tuned down 2 semitones - All strings tuned down 3 semitones - All strings tuned down 4 semitones - All strings tuned down 5 semitones - 1 Capo at first fret - 2 Capo at second fret - 3 Capo at third fret - 4 Capo at fourth fret - 5 Capo at fifth fret - 6 Capo at sixth fret - 7 Capo at seventh fret Reference pitch starts at 440 hz and is adjustable +/- in 1 hz increments

Q: Does the true buffer works also for active bass with on board preamp?

The onboard buffer works regardless of the instrument plugged in to the tuner. With a bass with onboard active electronics you don't need a buffer, but it won't hurt anything to have it in line.

Q: Can this tune 10 notes lower than standard bass tuning? I need it to hit a low F#. 5 notes below a B.

Low B is the lowest I’ve gone and it works great.
