Don't listen to anyone else!!! It's an amazing film.
Ok first of all, after I watched After We Collided I thought it would be interesting to look on all the ratings and reviews, they weren't the best. I am only a 13 year old girl and yes I do think that the film has many sex scenes and most of them inappropriate for younger viewers maybe 12 and under, it really depends on the viewer - how well they can understand it. I really have had enough of all the parents saying how horrible the movie is and that it has an awful influence on their children and others. It's not a adult movie, so parents... don't watch it then if it upsets you so much. Neither is it a younger child's movie. The person watching it needs to know that there will be much older content in it. Secondly, in the reviews have read, I have come across many comments on how the movie portrays an unhealthy picture of older relationships to the audience, giving them an expectation. Tessa and Hardin aren't real people, it is just a movie and to be honest it's meant for entertainment, it's not a school video on relationships. Hardin and Tessa are thought to be portrayed as being in a toxic relationship which includes much swearing and arguing, however they push through that, and all other obstacles, to be together, which in my opinion has the exact opposite effect as being in an unhealthy relationship. Anyway, it is a really good film for 13-18 year olds to watch and I really do recommend it. All it really is, is a romantic movie with a few arguments along the way. Lastly, can I just say thank you to everyone who has read through this whole review, I hope you have a good day!! :)P.S. to all the annoyed parents, I'm really sorry if any of this has angered you, it was only meant to be thought-provoking. Bye!!! :)

Awful film
This was a truly awful film. Bad acting, terrible storyline. Might be ok for teenage viewers but very inappropriate in parts and as a proper grown up I would say it gives a very skewed idea of relationships, not a good example AT ALL for young people setting out in the world. Communication is key for a good relationship but this film nearly went out of its way to go against this basic fact. The start was poor, the middle painful and the ending was abysmal. That's a few hours of my life I will never get back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

A sequel as good as the original!
After watching the original on Netflix only a month ago it was a great surprise to find the second movie that I didn't even know about on Amazon the day it was released. The chemistry between the two leads lives on and the story line is just as gripping as the first. Some people have reviewed this badly claiming it's just poorly shot sex scenes or abusive relationships but that's the point. In life people do live through unhealthy and toxic relationships and love can still exist along side it. That doesn't make it right but it des make it the truth and no one or nothing is ever perfect so what's wring with telling a realistic story. And the toxicity doesn't start with the two leads but from their parents, with one having seen traumatic events and the other it's a suffocatingly over protective mother. So it's not even surprising to see these two find each other with one looking for a purity and innocence that was robbed off him in his childhood and the other finding a damaged soul in a bad boy that stands for everything she was kept away from. The only thing that I didn't like in its second movie was the cliched cat fight which was unnecessary and slightly demeaning as though the only way women kno how to sort through things is hormonal hair pulling and name calling. However past that one flaw I think it's a story well told and it remains to be seen how the third installment plays out.

Amazing!
I absolutely loved the first film when I came across it on Netflix, then I read all the books in a two week period and when the second film came out in cinema I just had to go see it! It didn't disappoint and I'm super excited to see the next two films! Definitely recommend this film and the books! The actors are just incredible and really brought their characters from the book to life! Can definitely tell that there is a new director from the first to second film, there is just something so different between the two apart from Tessa (Jo) & Hardin (Hero). The only disappointment is the re-casting of characters, which will then also be re-cast in the 3rd/4th films due to Covid, but very well done to the actors who have played the roles! I'm honestly obsessed with the films overall!

Not impressed
I feel like I was generous with this star. I wouldn't say the first film was good, but it had me intrigued atleast. After 2... well that one left me annoyed and honestly just filled with regret. Regret that an hour and a half of my life went to that! This film was powered with too many clichés (which I usually love in films) that were poorly executed and too many scenes that left the viewers confused. (Spoiler!!) The scene where Tessa goes home... I have no idea what even happened. What secret did noah spill? Maybe reading the books first would have helped with following the plot. Additionally, the scene where tessa wasn't wearing underwear... I was waiting for her dress to rip or the lights to shine on her dress... something embarrassing. Or the scene were they have sex and the door is unlocked... WHAT WAS THE POINT???NOTHING HAPPENED. All in all the film had potential but the scenes weren't executed well.
