I love this rectangular shape--it's the perfect marriage of size, style and function. I began collecting and using L&L approximately 12 yrs ago from QVC--those pieces are still in perfect shape though I mostly handwash and never put lids in DW. Now I'm residing mostly in a wheelchair and changing my storage areas and containers to meet this grueling challenge. Finding the tallest down to this size rectangle containers far easiest to deal with, especially on my countertops (ugh) where I can even stack them and have lots of items side by side too for much needed convenience. Of course I would not enter my kitchen in an "aesthetics" contest lol, but hey--life is what it is--and a senior cannot be a pansy :-) !

This set of Lock and Lock food containers worked perfectly for storing my baking soda, baking powder, cocoa, and corn starch. They have a good seal and are air tight. No critters should be able to get inside. At times, items purchased from the store come with critters already in the product. As a safeguard, I always freeze my bakery ingredients for 24 hours before storing them. This will kill off anything that may have caught a ride home with the product from the grocery store. But if you do happen to have some critters hatch out after your purchase, they will be trapped inside your storage container and you can dispose of them without worrying they will get into your other pantry items. Overall, these little containers are perfect for what I'm using them for and seem to be of good quality.

They work good to freeze food in or store on the shelf. Water tight, strong, file folder labels stick so you can label contents and you can see what is in the container. The price is good. We have 35-40 in several sizes. I even put smaller hand tools and other work items in 6 Lock & Lock container which are different sizes and about 3 inches deep. They make finding stuff in my pickup tool box easy because there are clear. On occasion I have left a container in my pickup bed. It slid around and rained on it several times over a few weeks before I discovered it. Everything was dry no rust and no cracks in the container. But, I have also left the container in the pickup bed without the top. Not good, a lot of rust and it took some work cleaning and oiling the tools.

This size of container works very well for pantry storage of dry goods such as rice, beans, pasta etc. for a small household. I had the tall containers that hold twice as much, but it was more than I needed. These containers are a perfect fit and the great seal keep your dry goods fresh.

I have all sizes of Lock & Lock from the vertical to the horizontal storage containers. One of my favorites is their bread box container. Their bacon one, which is long and narrow, is great for storing celery.

Needed rectangular non-tapered containers without a wide lip at the top for use in our RV freezer for ice cream. Space in the freezer is very limited and the popular oval or round ice cream containers take up way too much space and are a pain to struggle into and out of the freezer compartment. In addition the lids often come off in the process. These work perfectly as 2 will hold a carton of ice cream and the locking lids definitely keep the ice cream fresher. To store them, each one will slip down into the container below it about an inch and then the lids can be put into the top container. They are more costly than other containers but you get what you pay for and I would purchase again.

I have loads of these containers and find them very useful. They don't leak, you can see the contents, you can stack them on top of each other, and they don't mind being washed in the dishwasher.

Just the right size to fit in my rucksack. My cooked food is secure and sealed tight to take to work. Also, microwave and dishwasher friendly.
