Direct bolt on replacement for my original shocks that were really shot after 130,000 miles. Considered the OEM Bilsteins but these got such great reviews that it really swayed my decision. These are very expensive but it was worth every penny. Initially felt slightly stiff but either I'm getting used to them or they are loosening up slightly. These really restored my ride quality. I've hit some potholes hard that I couldn't dodge and these really do a wonderful job dampening. General highway driving I would say that the ride was firm but not harsh. Going into bends these help keep the truck level. Braking dive changed drastically for the better. Overall money well spent. Even the guys at the local garage had a good time making fun of them. "Hey look at the truck with the chrome bilsteins!" Although they are actually a brushed aluminum housing they do look good. Thanks Amazon!

These are great shocks for the money, they ride really good on my 3/4 ton GMC. The rubber boots come with small plastic zip-tie which i cut off and replaced with larger zip ties on each end of the rubber boot and also stretched the boot 2 inch before i tightened the zip tie to prevent early boot cracking from being over compressed. These shock are also 1.5-2 inches longer than stock GM shocks

I installed these myself in my Silverado. The install is insanely easy. Two bolts is all you need. The ride is amazing. It felt like the truck was floating. Obviously the 12 year old stockers were past their prime but these were a great add. It has changed the truck. Good product. Quick shipping. Good buy.

The 5100 series shocks are very good shocks without going high end in price. They ride much better than brand new stock shocks even. The installation is very straight forward, comes with instructions and fits without any issues. Upgrade your ride comfort with these shocks, specially if you’re do to replace your factory ones.
